  • Garbhodaki Vishnu Balarama Lakshmana In Quantum Wormhole

To understand Hindu History one should have an eye for facts, allegories, Facts and allegories combined together and allegorical stories to instill morality.

Vishnu in Anatha Sayana.jpg Garbhodaki Vishnu.

However one can easily identify the last mentioned by the statement in the body of the story or towards the end it to be a Moral story. But the Puranas, Vedas and the Ithihasas, Ramayana and Mahabharata belong to another genre .

Adi Sesha in Patala Loka.jpg. Adi Sesha Supporting the Earth.

Puranas and Ithihasas record facts as has been proved.

    Gharbodhaka Ocean.jpg
    Gharbodhaka Ocean.

Vedas belong to a category of Knowledge that is intuitively grasped and it is not through the senses we possess.

We can verify even this if we follow the laid down rules.

The Puranas contain facts as well as Higher Physical truths.

Some of these Truths enunciated in the Puranas are called as Lower Knowledge.

One such is the much overlooked Adi Sesha on whom Lord Vishnu reclines.

People are aware that Adi Sesha is the Bed on which Lord Vishnu reclines and he was born as Lakshmana in Ramayana and Balarama in Mahabharata times.

The importance of Sesha can be understood by the fact that  Lord Vishnu was born as a Younger brother to Balarama, an Avatar of Sesha, whom Lord Vishnu served diligently.

This is the expression of gratitude to Sesha by Lord Rama to Krishna hen he said to Lakshmana,

‘You have served me diligently sacrificing everything in your Life in order to serve me.

I shall repay it by serving as diligently to you in the next Avatar.

Lord Krishna executed His Machiavellian Schemes in the Mahabharata, be it the slaying of Drona,Fixing of the Muhurat for the Mahabharata war by switching the Full Moon Day(Bodhayana Amavasya), killing of Bhishma by placing Sikandi in front of Bhishma,The taking away of the fruits of Karna’s Good deeds by taking them away from Karna in the Battlefield, hiding the Sun to enable Arjuna to kill Jayathratha,of advising Bhima by slapping his thighs to indicate that Bhima as to hit Duryodhana below Duryodhana’s Thighs, the list is endless…

in the absence of His elder brother Balarama , an Avatar of Adi Sesha.

If Lord Krishna listened to in the Mahabharata at all it as only Balarama and no body else.

Such was his devotion to Balarama.

Apart from the incidents narrated thus about the respect shown to Balarama,is there any deeper meaning behind the importance given to Balarama by Lord Krishna?

    From the scientific angle?

To me , it seems so.

Krishna represents, among other things the embodiment of the Universe, as He displayed it to Arjuna in Kurukshetra in His Viswaroopa.

Krishna, an Avatar of Vishnu is beyond Time and Space and in fact He is Time and Space.

Vishnu has three aspects, the fact many of us are unaware.

Please read my post on Three Visnus.

    They are,

In Gaudīya Vaishnavism, a school of VaishnaVaishnavism, the Sātvata-tantra describes three different forms, or aspects, of Vishnu as Mahā Vishnu, Garbhodakaśāyī Vishnu andKsirodakaśāyī Vishnu (Paramātmā), with each form having a different role in the maintenance of the Universe and its inhabitants:

“For material creation, Lord Krishna’s plenary expansion assumes three Vishnus. The first one, Mahā Viṣṇu, creates the total material energy, known as the mahat-tattva. The second, Garbhodakaśāyī Viṣṇu, enters into all the universes to create diversities in each of them. The third, Kṣīrodakaśāyī Vishnu, is diffused as the all-pervading Supersoul in all the universes in heart of every living being and is known as Paramātmā. He is present even within the atoms. Real object of meditation in Yoga is a Paramātmā. Anyone who knows them can be liberated from material entanglement.”(Satvata Tantra)

    Now to Adisesha,

Shesha is said to hold all the planets of the universe on his hoods and to constantly sing the glories of the god Vishnu from all his mouths. He is sometimes referred to as Ananta Shesha, which translates as endless-Shesha or Adishesha “first Shesha”. It is said that when Adishesa uncoils, time moves forward and creation takes place and when he coils back, the universe ceases to exist.

Please refer my posts on this.

I have also written on the Singularity in Blackholes, describes the Brahman described in the Vedas.

    Time runs backwards,

    It recoils.

Ina Blackole, all events appear to be at a Standstill, though it is not.

There is a Singularity in a Black hole which one can not perceive.

In the centre of a black hole is a gravitational singularity, a one-dimensionalpoint which contains infinite mass in an infinitely small space, where gravitybecome infinite and space-time curves infinitely, and where the laws of physics as we know them cease to operate. As the eminent American physicist Kip Thorne describes it, it is “the point where all laws of physics break down”.

There is a reference in the Ramayana that Hanuman entered into a Black hole/wormhole in the Vindhya Mountains during His search of Sita.

And Lakshmana wentdown the Sarayau River to Patala Loka.

Balarama entered Patala Loka as a white serpent,( basic Light) .

‘In Ramayana, Lakshmana went to the Sarayu river, ended life by engaging in meditation and stopping his breathing. It is said his soul went to Patala Loka’

Adishesha lies on the Garbhodaka Ocean. This universe lies inside Hiranyagarbh which also has 14 planetary systems. Beneath the 14 planetary system is the cosmic ocean known as Garbhodaka ocean.

According to SB 5.23.9, the last planetary system is Patala. Further 30,000 yojanas(ancient distance measurement unit) below, Adishesha lies on Garbhodaka ocean but doesn’t hold any planetary systems.

    According to SB 2.7.1

Only under certain conditions do the planets float as weightless balls in the air, and as soon as these conditions are disturbed, the planets may fall down in the Garbhodaka Ocean, which covers half the universe. The other half is the spherical dome within which the innumerable planetary systems exist. The floating of the planets in the weightless air is due to the inner constitution of the globes, and the modernized drilling of the earth to exploit oil from within is a sort of disturbance by the modern demons and can result in a greatly harmful reaction to the floating condition of the earth.’

Hinduism describes 14 Lokas belonging to This Universe and there are many more and these are explained in the Devi Mahatmiyam and in the Puranas that speak of Devi.

The point that there are unobservable Universes is agreed upon by Quantum and they admit to 10 such places.

    Hinduism mentions 14.

I had written on these issues .

So, in the present context, The Time Principle is enumerated in the form of Lakshmana and Balaram where they had gone into the Garbhodaka Ocean which is the outer limit of our present Universe, though unobservable and all these rest on Garbhohaka Vishnu.

Please read my posts on Quantum in order to know more on this topic.

  • Why Moon Is Not Bathed In Earth-shine In Solar Eclipse?

A solar eclipse is a natural event that takes place on Earth when the Moon moves in its orbit between Earth and the Sun (this is also known as an occultation). It happens at New Moon, when the Sun and Moon are in conjunction with each other. If the Moon was only slightly closer to Earth, and orbited in the same plane and its orbit was circular, we would see eclipses each month. The lunar orbit is elliptical and tilted with respect to Earth’s orbit, so we can only see up to 5 eclipses per year. Depending on the geometry of the Sun, Moon and Earth, the Sun can be totally blocked, or it can be partially blocked.

    Solar Eclipse.Image.jpg
    Solar Eclipse.

    Lunar Eclipse.

A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly behind the Earth into its umbra (shadow). This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned (in “syzygy”) exactly, or very closely so, with the Earth in the middle. Hence, a lunar eclipse can only occur the night of a full moon. The type and length of an eclipse depend upon the Moon’s location relative to its orbital nodes.

On a full moon night you can very clearly see everything. Of course it is not as bright as the sunshine, but everything is very clearly visible. And if you were to view the earth from space on a full moon night it would not be dark. It would be illuminated by the moonshine and all the features of the earth would be clearly visible.

As there is ‘moonshine’ there must also be ‘earthshine’. Much of the earth is covered by water which is a good reflector of sunlight. In fact the scientists say ‘earthshine’ is much brighter than ‘moonshine’. And according to our understanding the earth is enormous in comparison to the size of the moon. So if the moonshine can completely illuminate this earth on a full moon night then the earthshine can completely illuminate the moon.

The ‘earthshine’ bombarding the moon at the time of a total solar eclipse would be at least ten times brighter than the moonshine on the earth on a full moon night.

If Western astronomers are correct the solar eclipse would be the prefect time to see the moon illuminated by earthshine. The shadow created which causes the solar eclipse on earth is, according to NASA, at most 167 miles wide. So if you were sitting on the moon during a solar eclipse you would see an extremely bright earth planet with a dark circle of only 167 miles wide. This is not enough to diminish the earthshine in any significant way. So  even though the sun is behind the moon, the full force of the sunshine is hitting the earth and reflecting off those shiny blue oceans and reflecting off the land also’

On checking up I found that earth shine is not much and hence not visible.

Science talks about Albedo and distances, but that does seem to me a lot of suppositions and wishful thinking.

Earthshine is a soft, faint glow on the shadowed part of the moon caused by the reflection of sunlight from the Earth.

Specifically, Earthshine happens when the light from the sun is reflected from the Earth’s surface, to the moon, and then back to our eyes. Because of this double reflection of light, Earthshine is many, many times dimmer than the direct light of the sun on the moon. Earthshine is even more faint because the moon’s “albedo” (a specific kind of reflectivity) is less than Earth’s. Even though this dim light is only a reflection it can still illuminate some features of the moon.

Earthshine can be best seen during the crescent phases (the 1-5 day period before or after a New Moon). During this time the sun is mostly behind the moon from our perspective and bathing the Earth in a lot of direct light that is reflected onto the shadowed parts of the moon.

Moons orbiting other planets can also experience this phenomenon, generally called “planetshine”

Albedo (/ælˈbd/), or reflection coefficient, derived from Latin albedo “whiteness” (or reflected sunlight) in turn from albus “white”, is thediffuse reflectivity or reflecting power of a surface.

It is the ratio of reflected radiation from the surface to incident radiation upon it. Its dimensionless nature lets it be expressed as a percentage and is measured on a scale from zero for no reflection of a perfectly black surface to 1 for perfect reflection of a white surface.

Albedo depends on the frequency of the radiation. When quoted unqualified, it usually refers to some appropriate average across the spectrum of visible light. In general, the albedo depends on the directional distribution of incident radiation, except for Lambertian surfaces, which scatter radiation in all directions according to a cosine function and therefore have an albedo that is independent of the incident distribution. In practice, a bidirectional reflectance distribution function (BRDF) may be required to accurately characterize the scattering properties of a surface, but albedo is very useful as a first approximation.

The albedo is an important concept in climatology, astronomy, and calculating reflectivity of surfaces in LEED sustainable-rating systems for buildings. The average overall albedo of Earth, its planetary albedo, is 30 to 35% because of cloud cover, but widely varies locally across the surface because of different geological and environmental features.[1]

The term was introduced into optics by Johann Heinrich Lambert in his 1760 work Photometria.

Will some one clarify in simple terms?

Or is this the same as what Science calls as Axioms, not to be questioned?

  • Manojava Is Tachyon Particle Faster Than Light Mundaka Upanishad

We have a popular sloka of Anjaneya thus,

    Tachyon .Image.gif
Tachyon. Because a tachyon would always move faster than light, it would not be possible to see it approaching. After a tachyon has passed nearby, we would be able to see two images of it, appearing and departing in opposite directions. The black line is the shock wave of Cherenkov radiation, shown only in one moment of time. This double image effect is most prominent for an observer located directly in the path of a superluminal object (in this example a sphere, shown in grey). The right hand bluish shape is the image formed by the blue-doppler shifted light arriving at the observer—who is located at the apex of the black Cherenkov lines—from the sphere as it approaches. The left-hand reddish image is formed from red-shifted light that leaves the sphere after it passes the observer. Because the object arrives before the light, the observer sees nothing until the sphere starts to pass the observer, after which the image-as-seen-by-the-observer splits into two—one of the arriving sphere (to the right) and one of the departing sphere (to the left) “Tachyon04s” by TxAlien at en.wikipedia – Transferred from en.wikipedia to Commons by User:Sumanch.. 4: To that Messenger of Sri Rama, I take Refuge.

    Hanuman.jpg
    Hanuman meditating

Sanskrit Dictionary gives the following meaning.

मनोजव manojava adj. swift as thought
मनोजव manojava m. speed or swiftness of thought

Vedas have determined the Speed of Light accurately.

Please read my post on this.

Such being the case the reference to ‘Speed more than Mind’ is intriguing.

Reason is that Vedic people have studied Gravity and have treatise on this.

I searched and found the following answer.

Seven flickering tongues of the fire(light/energy).
Those are Kaali (black one), Karaali (terrific one), Manojava (swift as the mind), Sulohita (the deep red), Sudhumravarna (the smoke-coloured), Sphulligini (sparkling) and the Viswa-Rupi or the Viswaruchi (having all forms).
Whoever performs his Karmas (Agnihotra etc.), when these flames are shining and in proper time, then these oblations lead him through the rays of the sun to where the one lord of the Deva dwells.

    Chapter II  Mundaka Upanishad.

    1. This is That, the Truth of things: works which the sages beheld in the Mantras [=The inspired verses of the Veda] were in the Treta [=The second of the four ages] manifoldly extended. Works do ye perform religiously with one passion for the Truth; this is your road to the heaven of good deeds.

    2. When the fire of the sacrifice is kindled and the flame sways and quivers, then between the double pourings of butter cast therein with faith thy offerings.

    3. For he whose altar-fires are empty of the new-moon offering and the full-moon offering and the offering of the rains and the offering of the first fruits, or unfed, or fed without right ritual, or without guests or without the dues to the Vishwa-Devas, destroys his hope of all the seven worlds.

    4. Kali, the black, Karali, the terrible, Manojava, thought-swift, Sulohita, blood-red, Sudhumravarna, smoke-hued, Sphulingini, scattering sparks, Vishwaruchi, the all-beautiful, these are the seven swaying tongues of the fire.

    5. He who in these when they are blazing bright performs the rites, in their due season, him his fires of sacrifice take and they lead him, these rays of the sun, there where the Overlord of the Gods is the Inhabitant on high.

    6. “Come with us”, “Come with us”, they cry to him, these luminous fires of sacrifice and they bear him by the rays of the sun speaking to him pleasant words of sweetness, doing him homage, “This is your holy world of Brahman and the heaven of your righteousness.”

The properties described for Manojava are same as for Tachyon, which travels faster than light and its speed is equal to that of human mind.
In modern science, Tachyon, (pron.: /ˈtæki.ɒn/) (term in use since 1967) is a hypothetical faster-than-light particle.
In the 1967 paper that coined the term, Gerald Feinberg proposed that tachyonic particles could be quanta of a quantum field with negative squared mass.”

    Gravity does affect the time.

That is the reason why satellites are adjusted

The difference on a GPS satellite can be quite significant and hence the clocks on these satellites are constantly readjusted.

A black hole has enormous gravitational pull, strong enough to even hold the light in it, and nothing can escape a black hole.  Escape velocity from the weak earth’s gravity is about 7 miles per second.  Light travels at about 186282 miles per second.  Even this velocity is not enough to get light out of the gravitational pull of a black hole.  The only thing we know that is capable of travelling faster than light, is a quantum particle called Tachyon.  Even this has been described in the Mandukya Upanishad as Manojava.  The characteristics of both objects and particles are uncannily similar. Varahamihira described what could only be a gravitational force when he said, that there must be a force that keeps object stuck on the surface of the earth.

    Tachyon.

A tachyon /ˈtæki.ɒn/ or tachyonic particle is a hypothetical particle that always moves faster than light. The word comes from theGreek: ταχύ or tachy /ˈtɑːxi/, meaning “swift, quick, fast, rapid”, and was coined in 1967 by Gerald Feinberg.[1] The complementary particle types are called luxon (always moving at the speed of light) and bradyon (always moving slower than light), which both exist. The possibility of particles moving faster than light was first proposed by Bilaniuk, Deshpande, and George Sudarshan in 1962, although the term they used for it was “meta-particle.

  • Wormhole Parallel Universe In Vindhya Mountain ? Ramayana

Indian Scriptures and Epics never fail to surprise me with their astounding descriptions of things that are being visualized , nay being though of as A Theory, in Higher Sciences.

    The wormhole, Space.Image.jpg
    Wormhole

I have posted quite a few articles on Advanced Concepts in Ancient scriptures of India, The Vedas, The Purana and the Epics, Ramayana and Mahabharata.

Painting of wormhole, UFO in a Cave, Raisin, Madhya Pradesh,India, image.jpg
Painting of wormhole, UFO in a Cave, Raisin, Madhya Pradesh,India,

Be it Stem Cell Research.Weather prediction, Genes Study, Advanced Mathematics,Chemistry, Physics.Biology, the list is endless.

I have posted articles and these may be found under Hinduism.

Now I have come across a shocker of information, that of Wormhole in The Ramayana!

    What is a Wormhole?

A wormhole is a hypothetical topological feature that would fundamentally be a shortcut through spacetime. A wormhole is much like a tunnel with two ends, each in separate points in spacetime.

For a simplified notion of a wormhole, visualize space as a two-dimensional (2D) surface. In this case, a wormhole can be pictured as a hole in that surface that leads into a 3D tube (the inside surface of a cylinder). This tube then re-emerges at another location on the 2D surface with a similar hole as the entrance. An actual wormhole would be analogous to this, but with the spatial dimensions raised by one. For example, instead of circular holes on a 2D plane, the entry and exit points could be visualized as spheres in 3D space.

Researchers have no observational evidence for wormholes, but the equations of the theory of general relativity have valid solutions that contain wormholes. Because of its robust theoretical strength, a wormhole is one of the great physics metaphors for teaching general relativity. The first type of wormhole solution discovered was the Schwarzschild wormhole, which would be present in the Schwarzschild metric describing an eternal black hole, but it was found that it would collapse too quickly for anything to cross from one end to the other. Wormholes that could be crossed in both directions, known as traversable wormholes, would only be possible if exotic matter with negative energy density could be used to stabilize them.’

Wormhole , in simple words is like a Bedroll/Bed-sheet/Holdall  which can be rolled and unrolled.

That is if one has to travel to the Pole Star which is about 480 Light years away , the point of Earth from where we shall start and the end point ,The Pole Star, where we want to reach may be held together as we would a piece of cloth and be rolled, thus making these point very near.

    Space has infinite distances.

This bedroll called a Wormhole can be used to shrink the distance and by entering into it one can reach longer distances by entering into the wormhole and emerging on the other side in a short span of Time.

    Wormhole in The Ramayana.

In the Ramayana, Sugreeva directs his Vanara Army to search for Sita.

Hanuman ,Angada and the other Vanaras, contrary to Sugreeva’s instruction over stayed in the Vindhya Mountains and came across a cave, Riksha, a cavity.

It was guarded by Maya, under the name of Swayamprabha.

There Hanuman and others  became disoriented .

They found, inside the cave verdant flowers and spring, Swans leaving with drenched bodies.

‘On entering the Cave, they the monkeys beheld choicest mansions everywhere made out of gold and silver, some with golden and some with silver domes, while some with golden and some with silver multi-stories, but all are studded with lapis gems with golden windows covered with laceworks of pearls. They have also seen everywhere flowered and fruited trees that are similar in shine to red corals and rubies, and golden honeybees, as well as honeys.

They beheld everywhere diverse and capacious beds and seats that are amazingly crafted with gemstones and gold, and stacks of utensils made of gold, silver and bell metal. They saw the stockpiles of heavenly aloe vera substances and sandalwood sticks and depurated eatables, tubers and fruits. They have also seen top-grade soft drinks, luscious honeys, heaps of finest quality clothing, exotic blankets and sheaves of deerskins. Vanara-s have also observed mounds of undefiled gold stockpiled here and there glowing with the glow of ritual fire’

Hanuman also noted that the Time was lapsing.

Remembering that the deadline given by Sugreeva was nearing, He requested the Lady Maya, Swayam Prabha, to deliver all the Vanaras from the Pit.

    She obliged.

    Ramayana states,

‘Monkeys enter Riksha cavity, an unsightly and gloomy one, during their search in southern direction. While groping in that dark they loose time set by Sugreeva. Finally, they see luminosity and extraordinarily built mansions, woodlands, trees and lakes. Thereupon they catch sight of an elderly sainted lady and they all approach her asking after the legend of that cavity.

Those tigerly monkeys have also seen lions and various other animals and birds exiting therefrom, and entered that cavity which is enshrouded in obscurity. [4-50-18b, 19a]

19b, 20a. teSaam= for them; dR^iSTiH na sajjate= eyesight, not, fit enough [became unfit, ineffectual / obstructed]; tejaH na= their vigour, no; paraakramaH na= valorousness, no; teSaam gatiH= their, permeation; vaayoH iva= air [gust,] like; dR^iSTiH tamasi vartate= eyesight, in gloominess, actuated.

Their eyesight, or their vigour, or their valorousness is rendered ineffectual, and their permeation is just like the directionless air as their eyesight is thwarted in gloominess’

It may be noted that the description resembles that of a Black-hole.

And the presence of birds with water dripping from their bodies in the cave here there was no water body and the existence of buildings made of Gold, Silver inside a Cave and different types of Beings indicate a different world.

Only on Exiting the cave do the Vanaras become normal and find the normal terrain of the Earth.

‘On listening to Hanuman about the plight of monkeys by which they entered this cavity in searching for Seetha, Sainted Lady Swayamprabha becomes sympathetic and offers guestship.
When entreated by Hanuman for an exit from that incarceration, and as the time frame set by Sugreeva is lapsed in this very cavity, Swayamprabha asks Vanaras to cover their eyes and then uses her ascetic powers to transport the monkeys from that cave, which exit is otherwise impossible for any other intruder, in his aliveness.
After exiting from black cave, vanaras find themselves lose to an ocean located south of the Vindyas.

Instead of landing just after the Vindhyas  , they land quite far  near the Ocean, overshooting the Land by a few hundred Miles.’

The legend of the world being rolled in appears in the Legend of Hiranyaksha, brother of Hiranyakasipu, who rolled the earth and hid it , only to be recovered by Lord Vishnu.

Vishnu picks up the Roll and re-rolls it.

Vishnu Purana , in the narration of Mandhata, ancestor of Lord Rama, states that when Mandhata visited Brahma in Brahma Loka for a few minutes after traveling, found , on return, that hundreds of Years have passed in the Earth!

Similar legends abound in the Eighteen Puranas.

The entry and exit by the Vanaras echoes the ‘ Einstein–Rosen bridge’

‘A group of anthropologists, lead by archaeologist Mohammed Wasim Khan of the Archeological Environment Research and Tribal Welfare Society, working with hill tribes in Hoshangabad, earlier known as Narmadapura in Madhya Pradesh made a startling discovery.
They found caves hidden in a deep jungle in Raisin. In one such caves was found an amazing ancient painting which shows a person in a catsuit, a UFO like flying object, and a cylindrical spring like shape (wormhole path ?).’

A word to sneering doubting Thomases about these legends.

Please note that the term Wormhole is not considered proven but deduced and perceived to a Hypothesis and people take it as True without reservations.

Why not the Ramayana, whose date, geographical dates have been proved beyond doubt.

Here you are dealing with some thing far more advanced that your modern concepts.

Wait till you get to know more about Physics when it becomes more advanced.

  • Agastya Earth Tilt 41000 Years Ago Axial Tilt Milankovitch Cycles

Hindu Puranas state that Sage Agastya was ordered by Lord Shiva to proceed to the South to rectify the balance of the Earth as it tilted down in the south because of the congregation of Devas and people of the earth in the North, Himalayas to attend His (Shiva’s)  marriage with Parvati.

Accordingly Sage Agasthya traveled down from the North to the South and had the Earth’s balance restored.

    Is this a fantasy?

Hinduism narrates events and philosophy in two ways.

One is stating facts as they are, if in its opinion we are capable of understanding it.

For example the details on Astrology or the events related to the Ithihasas, Ramayana, Mahabharata.

In other cases they allude to events by interesting legends, like saying that there is Chanda Loka(world of the Moon) to convey a stage of spiritual development in Pranayama.

It is interesting to note that these two technics are followed to denote the same event, as in the description of Sun’s Movement in His Chariot and the description of Vishnu’s Naval Galaxy.

The incident narrated above falls into Allegory , relating to formation of seasons.

This is validated by  Milankovitch Cycles.

‘Axial tilt, the second of the three Milankovitch Cycles, is the inclination of the Earth’s axis in relation to its plane of orbit around the Sun. Oscillations in the degree of Earth’s axial tilt occur on a periodicity of 41,000 years from 21.5 to 24.5 degrees.

Milankovitch Cycles. periodicity of 41,000 years.iamge.jpg
Axial Tilt .Milankovitch Cycles. periodicity of 41,000 years

Today the Earth’s axial tilt is about 23.5 degrees, which largely accounts for our seasons.  Because of the periodic variations of this angle the severity of the Earth’s seasons changes. With less axial tilt the Sun’s solar radiation is more evenly distributed between winter and summer. However, less tilt also increases the difference in radiation receipts between the equatorial and polar regions.

One hypothesis for Earth’s reaction to a smaller degree of axial tilt is that it would promote the growth of ice sheets. This response would be due to a warmer winter, in which warmer air would be able to hold more moisture, and subsequently produce a greater amount of snowfall. In addition, summer temperatures would be cooler, resulting in less melting of the winter’s accumulation.   At present, axial tilt is in the middle of its range.’

There is another legend relating to Agastya, which states that Agastya crossing over to the South and in the process made he Vindhya Mountain shorter.

I have written on this while writing on Canopus and stated that it coincides with the Migration of Manu from the South to Ayodhya.

Yet another states that Agastya drank Ocean( I shall be writing on this).

In astronomy, axial tilt (also called obliquity) is the angle between an object’s rotational axis and the perpendicular to its Orbital plane, both oriented by the right hand rule. At an obliquity of 0°, these lines point in the same direction i.e. the rotational axis is perpendicular to the orbital plane. Axial tilt differs from inclination. Because the planet Venus has an axial tilt of 177° its rotation can be considered retrograde, opposite that of most of the other planets. The north pole of Venus is “upside down” relative to its orbit. The planet Uranus has a tilt of 97°, hence it rotates “on its side”, its north pole being almost in the plane of its orbit.

Over the course of an orbit, the angle of the axial tilt does not change, and the orientation of the axis remains the same relative to the background stars. This causes one pole to be directed toward the Sun on one side of the orbit, and the other pole on the other side, the cause of the seasons on the Earth.
