Heartrending at the tragedy and gratitude for for positive steps taken by the parent.
What the report says about the confusion in treatment is largely true.In addition you have typographical errors, interchanging ‘case history are some other normal mistakes.
To keep this under check;
-the patient has to be vigilant, observant and interact with doctors and when in doubt seek a second opinion.May be the Doctors are qualified, but it is our life they are dealing with;so we have every right to demand answers for our questions.
_Test reports are to be double checked and we should be present with the patient and ask details of procedure as also in case medication check with the Doctor for contraindications and should indicate to the Doctor on allergies of the patient for specific drugs and also check the expiry date of the drug.
-Medicine, doctors may disagree, is an evolving science-no final word has been said on any medication-and as such doctors need to spend more time in keeping in touch with latest developments in the field.
-Doctors need to spend more time with patients while consulting, checking the patient;some doctors now a days, make a quick diagnosis because of work pressure( I have not come across a doctor now a days who checks your pulse, spends time with you quizzing you on your family medical history;every thing has become mechanical)
-On the other side of the spectrum, some doctors refer to unnecessary medical check ups with time and money being wasted
-Above all next to God, people trust only Doctors .As such Doctors should remember their exalted status and treat patients with kindness
The initiative to help reduce the accidents of this nature should be welcomed and this should complement the Hospital’s internal review and should not become confrontational. On the patient’s side, they must remember Doctors are human beings like us and understand their pressures and communicate with them freely and desist from dragging them to court at the drop of a hat.

Not only is US, in India as well.Performance of institutions has come down because of :
-Stress is more on information than knowledge
-Admitting children in educational institution at a very early age, depriving them of childhood.
-Overloading of information
-importance to width of information and not depth.
-no stress on moral values
-decrying memorization and asking children to be original in areas where one can not be original at the early age, that is understanding basic concepts.
-too much distraction in terms of extracurricular activities
-exposure to TV,Video games
-lack of parental control
-lack of harmonious family
-stress on ranks , not on proficiency
-fixing of goals in life at an early age.
-uncommitted, non-dedicated teachers
Unless these anomalies are corrected educational institutions shall go down the hill further. -
