New TV Channel For Dogs
Now some Animal lover has thought of it.

A TV Channel for Dogs, which might get bored at Home!

The creators could have used the call letters WOOF had the station been east of the Mississippi, but as it is based in San Diego they settled for DOGTV. Far from just another Animal Planet, this channel is designed solely for canines. The images and sounds are said to be scientifically calibrated to a dog’s eyes and ears, and the programming is purported to be at once therapeutic and entertaining.
All of the programming on DOGTV is one of three types, each catering to a different basic creature need. For dogs who are feeling the world is too much with them, there are shows in the relaxation mode. These are “designed to relax the dog, reduce stress levels and keep him calm through soothing music, sounds and visuals.”

Lonely, bored dogs left at home all day while their owners are at work could soon be getting some digital company – a TV channel with programming just for pooches.

DOGTV, a 24/7 channel designed specifically for man’s best friend, will air nationally next month on the U.S. satellite operator DirecTV, with hopes of attracting dogs in some of the 46 million U.S. households that have at least one.

“It is the first and only television channel that is dedicated to our four-legged friends and not to their parents,” Gilad Neumann, the chief executive of the Tel Aviv-based company, said in an interview.

The channel won’t be showing the canine equivalent of “Modern Family,” “Mad Men” or “Downton Abbey” but will feature programs with music, visuals, animation and the occasional human that are designed to relax, stimulate and ease the loneliness of home-alone pets.

“It’s more than just entertainment for dogs. We are creating more of an environment,” Neumann said of the channel that costs $4.99 a month. “They are bored and many suffer from separation anxiety. What we are trying to do is to give dogs something to focus on in the background.”

Unlike children and adults who can watch TV for hours at a time, Neumann said dogs view the medium differently and will be attracted to it once in awhile when they see something that interests them.

“We have no intention of generating a new generation of couch potatoes out of our dogs,” he added.

List of Media Journalists, Received Money From Government
Many of us naively believe that the Media is Free and we read what is News , not views in the garb of News.

To me there are four types of Journalists.

Journalists received Money, Pakistan

1.Who write only the Truth in Public Interest.

I am yet to see one.If any one has an idea, please let me know the details.

This species is like mythical Gold Country.

I can recall only two names which come closer to this category.

‘CHO’ Ramaswamy in Tamil, Late. Babaurao Patel of Mother India(English)

2.Those who write because of Political inclinations, like RK.Karanjia of Blitz(now defunct),DF Karaka (Current,now defunct)

3.Slight variation of the above category,

Political Papers, Card holding Members.

4.Those who write for extortion

5..Government Protagonist.

This class receives money from he Government, occasionally criticize the Government for Credibility(?) and sings praise of the Government,plant stories subtly.

This piece of writing is euphemistically called ‘paid journalism”

Pakistan Government has been foolish enough to have the list lying and was caught.

They had to be released by a Supreme Court Order.

I am reproducing excerpts and the List.

Indian Government is smarter, or I am dumb, I am unable to find evidence of this.

Story:

The list of the 282 journalists who received payments and gifts from the secret fund of the information ministry was made public following a Supreme Court order.

The list of disbursements totals just over Rs177 million.

Many names of senior journalists and anchors are included in the list, some of whom have been added for being provided flights or accommodation as part of official delegations with government officials such as the former prime minister. A few journalists who did not choose to travel on the offered trips have also been included in the list, seemingly erroneously.

According to the rules and regulations, the purpose of the secret fund is only to obtain or uncover sensitive information necessary to protect ‘national interest/national security’.

It cannot be used for any other purpose, such as emergencies or incidental expenses. All withdrawals are supposed to come under specific heads and justifications.

Another list of 155 journalists who took gifts and payments from the information ministry will also be made public later.

A spokesman of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting clarified that secret funds have no link with Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) and the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI),tweeted Radio Pakistan.

Background

SC Judge Jawwad S Khawja remarked during the April 11 hearing of the information ministry secret funds case that Rs300 million was apparently given away to a private television channel.

Journalists and members of the civil society demanded the Supreme Court make public the names of the private TV channel that received Rs300 million from the information ministry and of all those journalists who allegedly received huge payments from the ministry.

Muslim Brotherhood ‘Torture Facility’

“The Brotherhood, they’re politicians,” he said.

“They are not violent by nature, and they have over the last couple of decades evolved more and more into a moderate — conservative but religious, but moderate — regular old political force. I find that a lot of the liberal fears of the Brotherhood are somewhat outside. That said, you know, you don’t know what their ultimate vision of what the good life looks like. But in the short term, I think they just want to win elections.”

Egyptian Newspaper calls it

Mohamad Jarehi, writing for the privately owned Egyptian newspaper Al-Masry Al-Youm, described imposing iron barriers and armed government guards who stand watch in front of the Brotherhood’s central torture facility, which is located in the Egyptian suburb of Heliopolis.

“The torture process starts once a demonstrator who opposes President Mohammed Morsi is arrested in the clashes, or is suspected after the clashes end,” Jarehi wrote, according to an English translation of Al-Masry Al-Youm’s Arabic-language article completed by the Middle Eastern media website Al-Monitor.

Founded in 1928 by Hasan al-Banna, the Brotherhood’s slogan is the not-so-moderate “Allah is our objective; the Quran is our law, the Prophet is our leader; Jihad is our way; and death for the sake of Allah is the highest of our aspirations.”

Eric Trager, a fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy and an expert on Egypt, told The Daily Caller that Kirkpatrick’s assessment of the Muslim Brotherhood as moderate was simply a regurgitation of Muslim Brotherhood propaganda.

“Calling the Muslim Brotherhood moderate is really an ingestion of a Muslim Brotherhood talking point. It’s not analysis,” he said.

Samuel Tadros, a former leader of an Egyptian liberal organization who is currently a research fellow at the Hudson Institute in Washington, echoed Trager.

“Then, the group members trade off punching, kicking and beating him with a stick on the face and all over his body. They tear off his clothes and take him to the nearest secondary torture chamber.”

According to Jarehi, who spent three hours in the torture chambers with other Egypt-based journalists, the captors then begin demanding answers from their detainees. (RELATED: New York Times Cairo bureau chief says Muslim Brotherhood is “moderate, regular old political force”)

“Before the interrogation process starts, they search him, seize his funds, cellphones or ID, all the while punching and slapping his face in order to get him to confess to being a thug and working for money,” Jarehi wrote.

“They ask him why he took to the street [and] whether he got paid to take part in the protest. … As long as this person denies the allegations, they beat him and insult his parents. After that, a person will videotape the interrogation and contact the Misr 25 TV channel to tell them about the interrogation and arrest.”

Though the fact is the same it is interpretation is different.

Lesson: learn to look at fact , not views, though it has become very difficult now a days!

Kanimozhi,Dayalu questioned at their Convenience!?
Suspects are questioned at their convenience and at their place of choosing?

Kanimozhi,while talking to reporters after interrogation states ‘they wanted to confirm what Kalaignar TV official said’!

Racing against time to file the charge sheet on March 31 in connection with the 2G spectrum scam, the CBI today questioned DMK MP Kanimozhi, daughter of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, and his wife Dayalu Ammal at the DMK headquarters here.

The questioning took place at Anna Arivalayam even as DMK leaders were holding talks with Congress counterparts in another room in the complex to identify 63 seats allotted to them for the April 13 Tamil Nadu assembly polls .

“We are answering everything and whatever is required. We are cooperating with CBI, unlike many political leaders who don’t. That really talks for itself of our intention of coming out clean,” Kanimozhi told reporters.

The CBI team, which reached here early this morning, also questioned Sharad Kumar, Managing Director of Kalaignar TV channel, in which both Dayalu Ammal and Kanimozhi collectively hold 80 per cent stake, at the channel’s office which is housed in the DMK Headquarters, official sources said.

The rest of the stake is held by Sharad Kumar.

The investigators questioned the three regarding their stake in the TV channel which has allegedly received Rs 214 crore from Shahid Balwa promoted company which was a beneficiary of the spectrum allocation made by former Union Minister A Raja, sources said.

Kanimozhi was also questioned about her telephonic conversation with corporate lobbyist Niira Radia which were tapped by Income Tax department, sources said.

Kalaignar TV had recently denied CBI’s allegations that there was a connection between scam accused Shahid Balwa-promoted Swan Telecom and the channel, with the agency telling a court that “it has also come to light that there was a transaction of Rs 214 crore from Cineyug Films Private Limited to Kalaignar TV in 2009”.
