  • Hinduism Seven Higher Lokas Existence Explained

Hinduism describes fourteen Lokas or places  where there is Existence.

I have not used the term Human.

The descriptions are of beings;  in terms of Color, Shape, their behaviors, they  are different.

One view is that they are descriptions indicating Spiritual Development.

For example, Chandra Loka denotes mental acumen and development of Buddhi unhindered by Mans, the Mind.

    Chandra indicates the Mind.

    Suyra, Sun represents knowledge.

    Budha , Mercury Wisdom.

    Bruhaspati, Jupiter, Discerning ability.

    Angaaraka, Volatile temper,

    Sukra , venus, material enjoyment,

    Sani, Saturn, mental toughness,

Raahhu, a shadow planet, represents, aggressive behavior, to be tempered by Wisdom by Kethu another Shadow planet by Philosophical Disposition.

    Kethu, Philosophical Disposition.

However there is another view, which states that these are places inhabited by Beings.

I subscribe to the view that these Planets do not indicate dwelling Places, but only  mental stages as a careful study of the Vedas reveal .

The Veda Mantras addressed to these Planets, including Navagraha Mantras used in The Navagraha Homa, talk about qualities and are allegorical.

However there are legends in the Purans on these planets having Form and are found to be interacting among themselves and with Human Beings.

But specific places of their dwelling is only hinted at and these may indicate their qualities.

But there are other Fourteen Lokas described in the Vedas and Purans .

These are spiritual and Dwelling Places.

They might exist in different planes, at different levels.

An interpretation is that these are the Quantum Fields other than where we exist.

Please read my pots on this filed under Astrophysics.

Yet there is evidence to suggest that these are Planes of existence with Physical boundaries, inhabited by Beings.

    Details.

    Mahas,

    Jana,

    Tapa and

    Satya .

And The Seven Paatalas (lower worlds) are:

    Atala,

    Vitala,

    Sutala,

    Rasaataala,

    Talatala,

    Mahaatala and

    Paatala.

    1.Bhu Loka

Vishnu Purana: Chapter 7:- Wherever earthy substance exists, which may be traversed by the feet, that constitutes the sphere of the earth (Bhu Loka), the dimensions of which I have already recounted to you.

Amongst the 14 worlds thus mentioned, the 7th one viz. Bhu-loka is  Earth..

‘Bhu’ means ‘Earth’ and ‘loka’ means the surface of planet Earth, where we live.

    2.Bhuvar Loka.

Vishnu Purana: Chapter 7:- The region that extends from the earth to the sun, in which the Siddhas and other celestial beings move, is the atmospheric sphere (Bhuvar Loka), which also I have described.

Bhuvar-loka is identified with Earth’s atmosphere and sometimes with the space which is in the immediate neighborhood of Earth.

In other words Bhuvarloka is the near-Earth space including Earth’s atmosphere.

This is the region were all the aircrafts fly and where all the artificial-satellites and space-stations that orbit around the Earth are situated.

This region canbre equated to the Geospace, the space dominated by Earth’s magnetic field.

    3.Suvar Loka.

Vishnu Purana: Chapter 7:- The interval between the sun and Dhruva, extending fourteen hundred thousand leagues, is called by those who are acquainted with the system of the universe the heavenly sphere (Suvar Loka)

Suvar-loka (alternatively Swar-loka) is beyond Bhuvarloka.

Some description makes it a planet inhabited by the Devaswith their king Indra.

Some references make it equivalent to the Swarga

Some Puranic references equate Suvarloka to the Solar System.

As per these the Suvar loka is consisted of nine sub divisions or sectors called

    1) Druva Mandala, 2) Sani Mandala, 3) Brihaspati Mandala, 4) Angaraka Mandala, 5) Sukra Mandala, 6) Budha Mandala, 7) Nakshatra Mandala, 8) Chandra Mandala, 9) Surya Mandala.

Human beings are among the inhabitants.

    4. Mahar Loka.

Vishnu Purana: Chapter 7:- Above Dhruva, at the distance of ton million leagues, lies the sphere of saints, or Mahar-loka, the inhabitants of which dwell in it throughout a Kalpa, or day of Brahmá.

Maharloka is  the place of saintly souls (as per Vishnu Purana) and is considered as greater than the Suvarloka .

Some Puarans say that the souls of the Saptarshis (the Seven Sages of Ancient India) reside here with a watchful eye upon the activities of humanity on Earth.

Maharloka can be equated to the region (Stellar Neighborhood) where all the stars visible to us including our Sun (and thus the Suvar Loka or our Solar System) is situated.

Inhabitants of Mahar Loka belongs to an inter stellar civilization.

All of the 27 Nakshatras  belongs to Mahar Loka.

5.Jana Loka, The Milky Way Galaxy.

Vishnu Purana: Chapter 7:- At twice that distance is situated Janaloka, where Sanandana and other pure-minded sons of Brahmá, reside.

Jana Loka is described greater than Mahar Loka, contains the Mahar Loka, the world of the stars visible to us.

This can be equated to the Milky_Way Galaxy itself. The word ‘Jana’ means people.

In this case, Jana Loka thus becomes the world of people belonging to the Milky Way Galactic Civilization.

    6.Tapo Loka.  Galaxies.

Vishnu Purana: Chapter 7:- At four times the distance, between the two last, lies the Tapo-loka (the sphere of penance), inhabited by the deities called Vaibhrájas, who are unconsumable by fire.

Tapo Loka is described as ‘greater than’ or ‘beyond’ or ‘above’ the Jana Loka.

It is  the world of the Galaxies visible to us, including the Milky Way Galaxy.

Thus it can be  equated with the inter-galactic structures like the Local Group of Galaxies, the Virgo Super Cluster of Galaxies and the Pisces Cetus Super

    Cluster Complex.

    7.Satya Loka.

Vishnu Purana: Chapter 7:- At six times the distance (or twelve Crores, a hundred and twenty millions of leagues) is situated Satya-loka, the sphere of truth, the inhabitants of which never again know death.

Satya Loka is a Loka greater than the Tapo Loka.

It is the first among all the 14 Lokas.

It can be equated to the Universe itself containing several Worlds of Galaxies (Tapo Lokas).

Satya Loka is the abode of Brahma, the God of Creation.

Some Puranas describe Brahma as residing in a Cosmic Egg, the Egg of Brahma or Brahmanda. The Universe indeed can be conceived as a Cosmic Egg.

Some Puranas consider a Lotus which sprang from the naval of Vishnu, the primordial being, as the abode of Brahma.

Due to its expansion from aSingularity (a hyper-massive black-hole of infinite mass and infinitesimal size), the Universe indeed looks like a lotus sprang from a navel, except that we need to consider it as a four dimensional (4D) lotus rather than a three dimensional (3D) one.

In this case ‘the navel of Vishnu‘ can be equated to the Singularity from which our Universe has sprung up.

Thus ‘Satya Loka’ is same as ‘the Lotus that sprang from the navel’.

It is same as our ‘Universe’ itself. It is also the ‘Brahmanda’, the ‘Egg of Brahma’ in which Brahma resides.

The etymology of the word ‘Vishnu’ means ‘that which expands (vis:- expand)’. The etymology of the word ‘Brahma’ to means ‘that which is big or that which is expanded (Brh:- expand, grow, large)’.

Both of these words (personified as Brahma and Vishnu) signifies the expansion of the Universe (a property inherent in the Universe).

The inhabitants of this Cosmic World are mentioned as immortals (ie, they exist till the universe exists).

Pat Two containing the Seven worlds beneath us follow.

  • Varaha Kshetra Where Varaha Killed Hiranyaksha

Of the Avatars of Lord Vishnu, Varaha,Vamana and Parasurma are the least talked about, as compared to Rama and Krishna.

My assumption is that the Life story of Rama and Krishna are adventurous and are emphasized by Man, the Varaha and Vamana appeal more to fantasy,

because of the unimaginable feats,(though the Avatars are not Fantasies)..

In the case of Parasurama, world loves a Winner , even if it be God.

As a footnote, I may add that the Avatars of Vishnu where He appears as a Brahmin are least popular and talked about!

    Take Vamana, Parasurama.

Another Proof that Brahmins have not concocted the Purans.

    Narasimha killing Hiranyakasipu.image.jpg.
    Narasimha killing Hiranyakasipu.

Lord Vishnu took the Avatar of Varaha, a wild Boar, to kill Hirayaksha, brother of Hiranyakasipu.

Hiranyaksha rolled the Vedas and hid them under the Ocean.

The Varaha dug deep, restored the Vedas and killed Hirayaksha.

The place Varaha killed Hiranyakasipu is in Nepal, V(B0araha Kshetra.

Varahakshetra, at the confluence of the Saptakoshi and Koka rivers, is 20 km from a town in eastern Nepal – Dharan. . Here, the Boar- Varaha,

an incarnation of Lord Vishnu has been said to have killed the demon-Hiranyaksha.

In addition to the main shrine dedicated to Varah, there are many towards the temples with images from the Varaha in Varahakshetra.

Every year on the to begin Magh (November), a religious fare  is celebrated.

Varaha Avatar Temples of Lord Vishnu

There are numerous temples dedicated to the Varaha Avatar of Lord Vishnu. Among them the popular ones are

    • Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple or Simhachalam Temple in Andhra Pradesh
    • Ancient Varaha Temple in Hampi
    • The famous Tirumala Venkateswara Temple is also known as Aadhi Varaha Kshetra, and it is believed that Venkateswara Swamy should be worshiped after worshipping Lord Varaha Murthy in the temple.
    • Varaha Cave Temple in Mamallapuram, Tamilnadu
    • Sree Lakshmi Varaha Temple or Sreevaraham Temple in Thiruvananthapuram
    • Varah Shyam Temple in Bhinmal, Rajasthan.

  • Ophthalmology Eye Surgery In Vedas Nimi Tantra

Ophthalmology was called Nimi Tantra in Ancient India.

A research paper presented states that nearly all the diseases known to us were known these ancient people and the cures.

Complicated Eye Surgery, Cataract removal were performed.

The Founder is Nimi, from whose name is derived the word for Minute,Nimisham”

    Ophthalmology.jpg
    Ophthalmology.

Ophthalmology was a recognised branch of
Salakya tantra and we owe our fullest
treatment of it to the Uttara tantra of
Susruta. Its history goes back to a period of
very remote antiquity. The author of the
Uttara tantra, in his introduction, specially
observes: “This part comprises within it the
specific descriptions of a large and varied
list of diseases viz., those which form the
subject matter of the Salakya tantra diseases
of the eye, ear, nose and throat – as narrated
by the kind of Videha”. The Salakya tantra
here referred to must be that traditionally
credited to Nimi, the King of Videha, the
reputed founder of the Science of
    Ophthalmology in India….

Unfortuntely, though the contents of these
tantras were, in a compressed and selective
    form, compiled in Susruta’s Compendium,
the original of the work is not now available.
The names of other famous works by Nimi

are said to be Vaidya Sandehabhanjini and
Janaka tantra. About this period six other
Salakaya tantras written by the disciples of
    Nimi Salyaka, Saunka, Karalabhatta, Caksu
Sena, Videha and Krsnatreya appear to have
been current and regarded with great esteem.

Though the identity of Nimi is still a
question of keen debate, we have reliable
records to assume that he was the great
grand-father of Sita, the daughter of Kind
Janaka. He is believed to have beenthe
twelfth King in descent from the Iksvaku
line of kings who then ruled the kingdom of
    Ayodhya.

The eye-ball is described as two fingers’
broad, a thumb’s width deep and two and a
half fingers in circumference. The eye, we
are told, is almost round in shape and is
made up of five mandalas, or circles, six
sandhis or joints, and six patalas or
coverings. The mandals are (1) Paksma
(circles of the eyelashes) (2) Vartma (circles
of the eyelids) (3) Sveta (the white circle)
    (4) krishna (region of the cornea) (5) drishti
(circles of the pupil). The sandhis are (1)
pakshmavartma (between the eye – lashes
and eyelids) (2) vartma sveta (the fornise)
    (3) sveta krishna (the limbus) (4) krishna
drishti (the margin of the pupil) (5) kaninika
(the inner canthus) (6) apanga (the outer
    canthus)

Of the six patalas two are in the eyelid
region and four are in the eye proper. There
are two marmas near the eye, apanga at the
outer end of the eyebrow and avarta above
the middle of the eyebrow. If these are cut,
    loss of sight results.

Most of the common diseases of the eye
were known to Nimi. He gives a count of
76 eye diseases of which ten are due to vata
dosha, ten to pitta dosha, thirteen to kapha
dosa and sixteen to vitiated blood, twenty
five are caused by the united action of the
three doshas (sannipatha) and two are due
to external causes (visible or invisible
    injury) Cloudiness of vision, lachrymation,
    slight inflammation, accummulation or
    secretion, heaviness and burining sensation,
racking or aching pain, redness of eye are
    indistincly evident as premonitory
    symptoms…

Of the seventy six kinds of diseases eleven
should be treated with incision operations
    (chedya); nine with scarification (lekhya);
five with excision (bhedya); fifteen with
    venesction (siravedhya); twelve should not
be operated upon, and nine admit only of
    palliative measures (yapya) while fifteen
shoud be given up as incurable.
    Opthalmoplegia, nyctalopia, hemeralopia,
    glaucoma, keratitis and corneal ulcers,
    subconjunctival echymosis, scleral nodules,
    blepharitis, xerothalmia membraneous
conjunctivitis and sclerosis are diseases in
    which operation is not indicated..

  • Why Less Muslims In Lok Sabha-Owaisi The Answer

The representation of Muslims in this Lok Sabha will be the lowest since the first general election of 1952. The 16th Lok Sabha will have just 24 Muslim MPs, down from 30 in the 15th. That translates to 4.4% of the strength of the House.

Muslims constituted 4.3% of the first Lok Sabha in 1952, but their proportion has hovered between five and six per cent for the last quarter of a century after dropping from a high of 9.3% or 49 members in the LS elected in the 1980 elections.

The incoming House will have no Muslim MPs from Uttar Pradesh, a first. It will also not have any from Maharashtra, a large state with a substantial Muslim population. The only states to have elected MPs from the community are West Bengal (eight), Jammu & Kashmir (four), Bihar (four), Kerala (three), Assam (two) and Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep (one each). Of these, of course J&K as well as Lakshadweep have Muslim-majority populations.(Zee News)

On the day the Indian Elections 2014 results were being announced,  Asauddin Owisi, wagging a Finger at Rajdeep Sardesai of CNN IBN, the English

    News Channel, said belligerently,

    Vladimir Putin To Muslims.image.jpg.
    Vladimir Putin To Muslims.

‘Now tell Me, why there are fewer MPS in Lok Sabha, why there is no Muslim has been elected in the BJP?

You Media do Modi Namaskar daily,

Tell Me why Muslims have also voted and made Hindus MP?”,

Owaisi the answer is three simple numerical,

    9/11

    September 2001 Twin Tower Attack.

    And a host of Bombings.

    And Seven Letters of English

    Al Qaeda.

You do not threaten people into electing specific people

At this rate you might ask for Minority Reservations in election Results!

Why Hindus  were elected as MPs by Muslims

They are not Terrorists, notwithstanding Religion.

Have you ever watched your speeches on TV?

How many Indian Presidents/Prime Ministers Pakistan has/had?

How many Hindu/Non Muslim Cricket Players are there in Pakistan cricket team?

How many Muslim Nations allow the Hindu law to embolden you to ask for Sharia law in India?

How many temples have you looted?

    At least be grateful.

If you do not want to be an Indian, you are free.

Yo do nt get along with Christians, Jews, and even one sect of yours kills the members of the other sect .

With whom shall be you be getting along?

Let the decent Muslims live in India in peace.

Best reply for your ilk is by Vladimir Putin, which I have posted in this post.

  • Narendra Modi Nostradamus ‘India To Be Bharat’ Spoof

    # I heard from a member of a Facebook Community that the information on Modi and Nostradamus Predictions are a  Spoof.

I checked the web and landed with the information  that the information is indeed a Spoof.

Now a Days it is difficult to sift news and propaganda and paid News.

I try my best to provide correct news and at time it happens this way.

If I find corrections i publish it..

    The Link.

Hope this too is not a Spoof!

Here below extracts of a spoof I wrote in 1999 for my Ferengi’s column of the Indian Express. Was it prophetic ? Only time will tell….

Michel de Nostre-Dame, better known as Nostradamus (1503-1566), was a famous French astrologer whose predictions – which included the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, or the premature death of the previous Pope – have proved infallibly accurate.

Last month, unpublished manuscripts of Nostrodamus have been discovered (and authentified) in an old trunk in the French city of Lyon. Curiously, there are two full pages, which deal at length with India, particularly with the Bharatiya Janata Party and the just concluded elections. We are giving here the first words in Latin, the language which he used, along with a rough translation in English .

“Politicus Bharatus Janatus Indicus veni grandus est vingtus unus centurus – Congressus oublium est …”

The Bharatiya Janata Party will come to dominate India in the beginning of the 21st century, as the Congress, will slowly sink into oblivion.

“Malheureusus, duo annum millenium trahisonus idealum est Congressus ressemblum, fautum adoptus est. Electionirium Blanca Madamus attaquum”…

Unfortunately, to achieve power, the BJP may gradually forsake most of its idealism and it will not address the real burning changes which India needs to adopt so as to become again a Great Power”.

And Nostradamus goes on to enumerate these changes :

    Rewriting Indian History.

There was interesting Blog on Modi, the 2014 Indian Elections in April/May 2014.

This was posted on March 2013, 2013!

Normally I would not have missed this sort of News/Post.

    Somehow I missed it.

Michel de Nostredame, one of the world’s most famous authors of prophecies, was born in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in the south of France in December 1503.

He is most famous for his book “Les Propheties”, which consists of rhymed quatrains (4-line poems) grouped into sets of 100, called Centuries. Nostradamus is credited with predicting the French Revolution, the atom bomb, the rise of Adolf Hitler and the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center.

Translation of the relevant portions of the Nostradamus Predictions on BJP and Narendra Modi.

Politicus Bharatus Janatus Indicus veni grandus est vingtus unus centurus – Congressus oublium est …”
The Bharatiya Janata Party will come to dominate India in the 21st century, as the Congress, will slowly sink.
“Politicus Bharatus Janatus Indicus veni grandus est para Indus cognisant Indica tum est… ”

The BJP will represent the aspirations of the Hindus, the overwhelming majority of India.

He goes on to explain who are the Hindus: “Indus terrum nostrum grandus homo manus onum unus familium planetum est.

Indicus pax pacis terra est ferrum tempus…”

They will be the most tolerant people, even in the Age of Iron, because they will still accept that God may manifest Himself at different times under different names, using different scriptures.

    Nostradamus on Narendra Modi.Image.jpg.
    Nostradamus on Narendra Modi.

Hence all persecuted people throughout the ages, will always found refuge in India, where they will practice their religion in peace.

Then Nostradamus makes his first prediction: “Indus cursum est trahisum nostrum est… Politicum Bharatus Indicus trahisum est…”

But the curse of the Hindus will always be disunity and they will betray each other to the enemy again and again.

Next, another prophecy: “Politicus Bharatus Janatus Indicus tri pillarus est, Vajpayum, Advanum persistum est et Narendrum Modum. Vajpayum emergum est…”

The BJP will have three pillars: AB Vajpayee, LK Advani and Narendra Modi.

Eventually, Vajpayee will no longer have an active life, Advani will persist and Narendra Modi will be emerging.

He goes on: Narendrum Modum supremus chefum, ironus manus est et economicum grandum est…”

Narendra Modi will raise himself as a national figure, not only because he is an iron man, but also because he has made of his state a model of economic efficiency.

Then comes another forecast,: “Duo millenum novo treizus, Jesus Christum postum, Advanum racontum narrates est Narendrum Modum grandus princeps est et Modum dux ducis rector est, sixtum legatus est…

” Mr Advani will oppose Narendra Modi as BJP’s, Prime Ministerial candidate, but still the BJP will win the elections.

Nostradamus is not done, but thezre he may have got it wrong: “Congressus, corruptianum est,duo millennium terzus tombum est”.

“The Congress Government will be riddled with so many corruption scandals, that it may fall before 2014”

And, he goes on: “Politicus Bharatus Janatus Indicus prnonuncio Ramum templum et Christanium consto est et gurum defendo est, kashmirum macto est…”

The BJP will also make it known that it will build the Ram Mandir, protect temples, stop conversions and keep Kashmir for India.

    Michel has also some forecast about foreign policy: “Chinum pugna est, Tibetum sanctum est, proctectiorum, amen ;

pakistanus attakum est et ereptor latrunculus iugolo, caido.”
The BJP will reaffirm its commitment to eastern states (he probably meant Arunachal Pradesh), stand-up to China’s bullying, and support Tibet to counteract Beijing which is propping-up Maoist Nepal. It will swiftly punish Pakistan next time it attacks India by proxy.

However, added Senor Nostradamus: “Politicus Bharatus Janatus Indicus comes, comitus amicus desertus est congressus victis .”

Only if the BJP stands true to the aspirations of its Hindu voters, it can come on its own at the Center.

Why? “Independantum Blancum copium est; necessarus changum indianus cumum facus est”…

As India has heavily borrowed from the White Man (British?) at Independence, it will become necessary to “Indianise” the nation so that it may manifest again its true unique soul.

What is it? “Lex legis mutation, presidentum auctorita dato est, confuto desisto lex legis…”

Introduce a common civil code, repeal false laws (article 370?), reform the Judiciary, change to a Parliamentary system, which will give true powers to the President who can nominate a Prime Minister from the majority.

Nostradamus goes on to explain why these changes are important:

“Congressus niveus domina regnus, Indicus forcus inmicus est. Maurus, Christianus presentum est.”

Under the reign of the White lady (Sonia Gandhi?) forces inimical to India have crept in.

Madrasas have sprung up everywhere and so have churches that are converting by the thousands, Hindus gurus are jailed and mocked at…

What was non-acceptable today will become politically correct tomorrow and Hindus will rule themselves again and reestablish Dharma in India.
“Scienta, garnutas, conscienta va do incedo totus el mundus rulus est, paxus, harmonius est.”
And the knowledge which was preserved in India for millenniums will spread in the world and bring peace, happiness and Harmony to All”.

Though much depends on the interpretation of the Latin Text, what distinguishes this prophecy is that it has been published nearly one year before the

elections, normally these type of predictions are made after the incident.

One thing struck me as original.

“But the curse of the Hindus will always be disunity and they will betray each other to the enemy again and again’

    Consolation.

Narendra Modi’s Fist name is that of Swami Vivekananda!
