People spend more money trying to convince themselves and others by justifying on the ground that it is hygienic, and they pay for ambiance and Service..
I belong to the school who believe in taste and reasonable Hygiene.
It is said in Sanskrit that one should not look in have a look in at the place where the food is prepared nor should one watch women at home eat.
.The reason for the latter is that women, ill about some 30 years ago, used serve their menfolk first and eat later and most of the time the food available food might be short and they would eat less, watching that would hurt every one.
Another reason is that women folk had to manage the Family within a limited budget.
They would prepare sumptuous meals with whatever available, even if short, would manage
.People with experience would know it is very difficult to cook for the family for just that meal for it was the practice, not to eat the left over.
In the case of the former, the cooking place might be unclean which would result in people not eating properly.
,Now this seems to have acquired a different meaning altogether in Star Hotels.
Beneath the glitz lies the soft underbelly.
Kitchens might look clean, hygienic where the materials are stored is not, in most cases.
I have seen this personally in the so-called Five star Hotels which I used to visit during my Professional Life.
This is out in the open in a Video.
Story:
Golden Corral says it fired a manager from one of its restaurants after a rogue employee uploaded a stomach-churning video showing dozens of pounds of raw meat left outside near a dumpster. The employee in the video said the food would be brought back inside to be served to customers.
…
According to Eric Holm, who owns the Golden Corral where the video was filmed, the manager involved in the improper food storage was terminated for not following proper food-handling procedures. In a statement forwarded to The Huffington Post on Monday, Holm said that none of the food shown in the video was served to customers.
Filmed by employee Brandon Huber at a Golden Corral in Port Orange, Fla., the shocking video shows an array of what appears to be raw hamburger patties, raw baby back ribs, pot roast meat, chicken, bacon slices, a green bean casserole and a large hotel pan full of gravy — all next to an outdoor dumpster. Black flies appear near some of the meat.
