The thrill-seeking magician came down Monday evening from the 20-foot-high (6-meter) perch on a New York pier where he spent the past 72 hours standing inside an artificial lightning storm generated by seven high-voltage, low-current Tesla coils.
David Blaine’s high-voltage NYC stunt.
The 39-year-old performer said the electrifying performance would be his last endurance stunt.
Blaine spent the final minutes grinning and waving at a crowd of about 150 onlookers and pretending to conduct the thunderously loud renditions of keyboard works by Bach, Liszt and Mozart that provided the musical accompaniment to the stunt.
He and his colleagues spent several minutes slowly unhooking his harness before he descended to the ground, where he leaned on two men to support him as his wife jogged up to kiss him.
Arvind Kejriwal seems to be obsessed with playing to the gallery.
Kejriwal’s actions in exhorting people not to pay their electricity bills, and to reconnect disconnected meters is the expression of a frustrated man not knowing what to do.
It is normal to disturbed , as you and me are, at the rampant Corruption and mismanagement of the Country by elected thugs, good to be morally indignant , but it is down right criminal and irresponsible to resort to taking law into one’s own hands.
If Kejriwal can resort to these strong-arm tactics, when not in power, one shudders to think that he can ,heaven’s forbid, if he and his band of anarchists come to power!
The example of DMK during Anti –Hindi agitation and the Anti Brahmin movement in Tamil Nadu comes to my mind.
There were mistakes in Governance, though not so much in decisions, but in communicating them to people and Social injustice wrought upon a group of people, by , again a few, that made people go in for a ‘quick fix’
The people of Tamil Nadu handed over power to a set of hardened criminals, flotsam and jetsam that Tamil Nadu is yet to recover and worse, they do not know how and when!?
Kejriwal is heading this way.
Beware.
Kejriwal restoring Power, illegally!
“Two days after Arvind Kejriwal launched his attack against the city government by restoring power supply in some houses, BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd filed a police complaint against a man, whose connection was restored on Sunday by the activist-turned-politician.
During protests across Delhi as part of his ‘bijli-paani satyagraha’, Kejriwal had visited the house of a labourer on Sunday at Tigri Colony in south Delhi and reconnected the power line cut off by the discom.
BRPL on Tuesday filed the case against the labourer with Neb Sarai police station in south Delhi.
In the complaint against Banna Ram, the discom has invoked Section 138 of the Indian Electricity Act, which states that it is illegal to interfere and fiddle with the electricity network. The discom said unauthorised power connection is a punishable offence that may attract imprisonment up to three years. Ram got a power bill of Rs 15,000 last month, and since he was unable to pay it, the discom cut off electricity to this house.”
A large section of coastline in South Africa has been closed after a 15-metre whale washed ashore following an attack by great white sharks.
The whale was removed from the surf after its carcass attracted high numbers of great whites to the coast by Muizenberg beach, near Cape Town, on Sunday.
Authorities have since taken the southern right whale from the beach but have closed off a stretch of shore from Muizenberg to Monwabisi ‘as a precaution’.
1.Undue favours were shown by The Haryana Government to DLF in allotting lands.
2.HIDC Land given to DLF at throw away prices.
3.Panchayat lands were given to DLF at Low rates.
4.Floor area Ratio was changed to accommodate DLF
5.Land Use was changed to suit DLF-Hospital land,Forest Land allotted.
6..High Court observed about the nexus between the Haryana Government and Builders.
7. Robert Vadra had 50% share,as a Major Share Holder in DLF Holdings and disposed of the shares in a year.
8.DLF did give 50 Crore to Robert Vadra as unsecured loan to Robert Vadra.
This information falls under three categories.
1.Haryana Government had shown undue favours to DLF.
2.Robert Vadra was given 50 Crore unsecured loan by DLF.
3.Robert Vadra acquired major shares in a DLF floated company and sold these after one year later.
4.Robert Vadra was given 7 flats a the cost of one flat(Rs.Five Crore /flat.
That DLF gave 50 core is not news. Please read my blog on this.
Getting a share and selling at a later date is no offence.
If a company wants to sell a flat at a lesser price ,it can do so,there is no legal restriction.
But the issue is why was Robert Vadra granted such a favour?
The date of allotment of Land to DLF and Vadra’s involvement with DLF is a sure indication that it is quid pro quo.
The job of Vadra was to get the Land allotted, rules bent to accommodate DLF.
( I may add here, Liaison officers do this, for Indian Companies and Foreign Companies, but the results in the case of Vadra will be very swift for in addition Bribes, he has Political clout).
So legally speaking, excepting the suspicion that Robert Vadra had been accommodated because of his clout, which is obvious, nothing can be legally proved.
But speaking of propriety in Public Life, an enquiry needs to be conducted into the affairs of Robert Vadra and the indications are that it is unlikely.
To the points raised about Haryana Government ,yes, it needs an enquiry , especially in view of the High Court’s stricture on Land allotment and and the fact that the Haryana Government seems to have bypassed the High Court by reclassifying the land.
The Government can not dismiss this as it did Robert Vadra’s case on the ground that he is a private individual and his privacy needs to be protected(as vociferously shouted by Manish Tiwari in TimesNow Channel) as the Government is playing with Public land and Congress must remember it crucified Yeddiyurappa for the same crime in Karnataka.
But as for as the Expose on Robert Vara goes, this revelation goes, it is a damp squib and missed the target- Robert Vadra.
This type of shooting with out target will diminish Arvind Kejriwal’s credibility

“An audit of the donations received by Team Anna has been shared by The Public Cause Research Foundation (PCRF), which counts among its trustees Arvind Kejriwal, who was once Anna’s closest aide.
However, a thorough analysis of the audit report revealed several discrepancies.
For instance, the office pantry expenses for the period ending on September 30, 2011 were Rs 21,927. However, the pantry expenses in the next six months increased manifolds to Rs 89,070. The audit report also reveals that the
communication expenses which were Rs 2,68,986 at the end of September 2011, doubled in a span of six months. The communication expenses for the period ending March 31, 2012 reached Rs 5,77,474.
The speed with which legal expenses increased, the audit report is bound to raise several questions on the credibility of the Magsaysay award winner. For instance, till September last year, the audit report showed the legal
expenses to be Rs 14,936 but the expenditure on legal activities was calculated to be Rs 2,90,742 by March end this year.
This accounts to 20 times increase in the legal expenses by erstwhile Team Anna in the span of six months. This at a time when the erstwhile Team Anna had prominent lawyers and legal advisors like Shanti Bhushan and Prashant Bhushan.
Further comparison between the two audit reports of PCRF revealed that the printing and stationery cost that was as high as Rs 2,81,318 on September 30, 2011, reduced to Rs 1,53,965 till March end this year. Major difference
in the stationery expenses either hint at some flaws in the audit report or discrepancy in the preparation of balance sheet.
Another serious discrepancy was noticed in the publication expenses. The publication expenses which were Rs 26,55,978 on September 30, declined by almost Rs 10 lakh. The publication expenses were found to be Rs
16,69,656 as on March 31, 2012.
Similarly, the analysis of the two audit reports also showed that the office rent was hiked upto Rs 50,000 in merely six months. The office rent, which was Rs 1,39,850 on September 30 2011, increased to Rs 1,89,077 by March 31 this year.
According to the audit report, the agitation received highest donation of Rs 25 lakh from Sitaram Jindal on behalf of Jindal Steel. Notably, Congress MP Naveen Jindal, is the chairman and MD of Jindal Steel & Power. Kejriwal never hesitated to recieve donation from the company owned by the individual, whose Jindal Power is one of the beneficiaries of the coal allocations http://www.ncrkhabar.com)
Kejriwal has a lot to answer.
