In a communication to the Ministry Prime Minister Manmohnan Singh has noted,in the file relating to 2 G scam,to keep ‘PMO at arms length‘ .
The explanation given by the spokesperson is that the decisions have to be taken by the Departments concerned on merits and PMO’s communication should not be construed as ‘Directive‘
Why should there be a Prime Minister,if he can not direct his Ministers and Departments?
What is collective responsibility and being the Head of the Government?
An ornamental piece?
Again in CWG scam, in regard to appointment of OC of Games the Decision of the GoM has been overturned.
The question is by whom?
The GoM was chaired by the PM and Sunil Dutt as Sports Minister has written to the PMO that the GoM directive ha been given the go by.
What does the PM have to say on this?
‘at arms length’ -Some arm , some length!
It has come to notice that Raja of 2G scam has written over 9 letters on2G to the PM ,including pricing.
Still no action from PM!
To top it all there are ‘paperless decisions’ among PM, Home Minister P.Chidambaram and Raja on 2G.
Still people declare that the PM is honest and a man of unimpeachable integrity.
Media is ecstatic on his work ethics and honesty!
New Delhi, Aug 2 (IANS) Noting that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh ignored the warning of three successive sports ministers on former Commonwealth Games Organising Committee chief Suresh Kalmadi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tuesday said perhaps he wanted to keep an ‘arm’s length distance’ on the issue.
‘The fact is that three sports ministers of the UPA — Sunil Dutt, Mani Shankar Aiyar and M.S. Gill — tried to call the prime minister’s attention on the person appointed, but he ignored it,’ BJP leader Arun Jaitley said.
According to the findings through a Right to Information (RTI) application, Dutt, Aiyar and Gill wrote to the prime minister suggesting against Kalmadi continuing as the chief of the CWG OC.
