Story:
WEST PALM BEACH, FL — Surveillance cameras may help West Palm Beach police track down several thieves who broke into Star Liquor and made off with more than $2000 worth of cash and booze.

Store owner Andy Paten says he was eating at a restaurant when he got a phone call alerting him that the alarms on his business, along Okeechobee Boulevard near Jog Road, were going off.

He initially thought it was going to be a false alarm. But when he pulled into the parking lot, police were there to meet him. The front door glass had been broken to allow the thieves inside.

He turned over surveillance video to investigators, which shows one of the suspects using a large “pry bar” to smash his way through the reinforced front glass. It appears the suspect had to smash it more than thirty times before the glass finally broke.

Once inside the surveillance video shows the same man walking to the back door of the business and letting in other suspects.

Paten says he was robbed in a similar way last summer.

West Palm Beach police alerted neighboring communities to keep a lookout for the suspect vehicle, a black pickup truck.
