  • Mahabharata Events Verified Timeline Some Issues

I have posted the Ramayana Timeline verified by astronomical data.

    Lord Krishna and Lord Rama.jpg
    Lord Krishna and Lord Rama.

To corroborate that further I shall be posting articles with Archelogical, Zoological evidence apart from references from Indian and Foreign literature.

After I posted on Ramayana Dateline, I have been asked to write on Mahabharata on similar lines.

    This is a minefield.

One has to be remember that Ramayana had taken place in Treta Yuga while the Mahabharata took place in the Dwapara Yuga.

Treta Yuga lasted for 1,296,000 years and the duration of the Dvāpara-yuga is  864,000 years.

Mahabharata War took place towards the close of the Dwapara Yuga.

That is to say that the Ramayana and Mahabharata were separated by a minimum of 21,59000 Years.

-P.V.Vartak, Swayambhu (in Marathi), Ved Vidnyana Mandal, Pune

All the twelve planets confirm their said positions on 16th October 5561 years B.C. along with two Amavasyas, two eclipses, Kshaya Paksha and a Comet. Thus, in all 18 mathematical positions fix the same date. Therefore, we have to accept this date of the Mahabharat War, if we want to be scientific. Please note that all the twelve planets will come in the same positions again only after 2229 crores of years. That means it will never happen again in the life of our earth, because life of the earth is only 400 crores of years. So the date of the Mahabharat War is pin-pointed as 16th October 5561 B.C..

The date of Ramayana  is , the last recoded event for discusssion here, is ,

“Ravana is killed by Rama 15th November 7292 B.C.Rama returns to Ayodhya”

    For Mahabharata,

Pandavas Going to forest 4th Sept. 5574 BC is the earliest event taken for discussion here.

The dudifference between the last event of Ramayana and the first event of Mahabharata event is,

    7292-/5574 is only 1718 years!

So the difference between the last event of Ramayana and the first Mahabharata event is 7292-/5574. is 1718 Years!

    Now to confound further,

'Yet cross indexing the various Purans and the Astrological data supported by actual Astronomical phenomena like Rama‘s Birth chart,Eclipses during Ramayana andMahabharata  forces one to the conclusion that Lord Rama’s Death preceded Lord Krishna’s  only by 200 years."

This anomaly can be answered only if one follows the concept of the theory of Cyclic Theory of Time.

Even if we accept this, there is still the point of reconciling 200 years.

But again, as Time calculation depends on the position of the observer, the dates mentioned and being proved n=by us might vary because our position differs from the recorded dates of Ramayana and Mahabharata.

Time Non Linear-3 Hinduism Explains How
  • What Is The Color of Lord Rama Blue Black Dark Brown

It is generally believed that Lord Ram is blue back in Color.

Ladies in Tami Nadu  has a Name for this color, Rama Blue.

It is a mix of Blue and Black.

    Lord Ram with Hanuman.jpg
    Lord Ram with Hanuman.

    Valmiki Describes Rama’s Complexion thus.

    “Hanuman to Sita.

dundubhi svana nirghoShaH snigdha varNaH prataapavaan |
samaH sama vibhakta ango varNam shyaamam samaashritaH || 5-35-16

“He has a voice like the sound of a kettle-drum. He has a shining skin. He is full of splendour. He is square-built. His limbs are built symmetrically. He is endowed with a dark-brown complexion.” Sundara Kanda Sarga  35 Sloka 16.

Rama, whose face is like the full moon, of dark brown complexion, whose collar-bone is invisible (because of its being covered with flesh), a conqueror of foes, whose arms descend to his knees, whose eyes resemble lotuses, the elder brother of Lakshmana, who takes initiative in speaking and expresses with sweetness, truthful of speech and possessed of extra ordinary strength, is benevolent to all, delightfully charming as the moon, that tiger among men, as mighty as an elephant in rut, that great car-warrior, will surely adorn the woods, while roaming through them..

(Valmiki Ramayan – Book II : Ayodhya Kanda – Book of Ayodhya: Chapter 48.)

    There is a doubt.

Rama was born in Ayodhya, in North India where they are fair skinned.

    Rama, ‘Dark-brown?’

    Dravidians have this complexion.

    Yet another twist.

““In the four yugas—Satya, Tretä, Dväpara and Kali—the Lord incarnates in four colors: white, red, black and yellow respectively. These are the colors of the incarnations in different millenniums.
    Madhya 20.330

The yugas are known as Satya-yuga, Treta-yuga, Dvapara-yuga and Kali-yuga. The incarnations of each yuga are of different color. The colors are white, red, black and yellow. In the Dvapara-yuga, Lord Krsna in black color appeared, and in the Kali-yuga Lord Caitanya in yellow color appeared.

  • Dasavatara Birth Places Of Avatars Questions

The Ten Avatars of Lord Vishnu are as follows.

    1. Matsya, Satya Yuga.
    2. Kurma, Satya Yuga,
    3. Varaha, Satya Yuga.
    4. Narasimha, Satya Yuga
    5. Vamana,Treta Yuga
    6. Parashurama, Treta Yuga.
    7. Rama, Treta Yuga
    8. Krishna,Dwapara Yuga
    9. Balarama, Dwapara Yuga.
    10. Kalki -Kali Yuga, yet to manifest.

Some take Buddha as an Avatar of Vishnu, omitting Balarama.

I am furnishing the Birth places of these Avatars from our Purans.

I have a Couple of doubts.

1.Excepting the Kalki Avatar, none of the Avatars are from Kali Yuga.

    Dashavatara.image,jpg
Temple door depicting the ten avatars, Sree Balaji Temple, Goa. (from leftmost upper corner, clock wise) Matsya, Narasimha, Parashurama, Rama, Krishna, Kalki, Vamana, Vithoba, Varaha and Kurma. Image Credit.wiki.

If such is the case how is it we are able to find Ayodhya , Mathura as the places mentioned in the Puranas ,Ramayana and Mahabharata?

Pralaya , Dissolution takes place at the end of each Yuga.

After Sandhi, new Creation takes place.

Does this mean that the Geographical charterers  of a territory is repeated or remains in tact in every Yuga?

Then why is that we have not fixed the Birth place of the other Avatars?

Is it because the description of these Avatars are not as vivid as Of Ram and Krishna?

My opinion is that according to Hinduism Time is Cyclic and non-linear.

Therefore all the Purans and Ithihasas are happening at this  moment simultaneously at different planes of existence with different parameters of Time

very much different from our Time.-Please check my poss under’ Time.’

That we are allowed information what is determined for us to have, by revealing things selectively.

Erich Von Daniken in his Book Chariot of the Gods and other Books opines that the Devas and other Gods are Extra Terrestrials, the Puranic wars

involved them; that the Extra Terrestrials visited the earth, altered our Genetic Code ,determined the way we should evolve and they are monitoring

    us.

I base this view on these facts.

Advanced civilizations that existed had become extinct, I am referring to Minoan, Sumerian, Chinese, Atlantis,Lemuria,

Mayan,Polynesian,Egypt  for reasons not very clear even today.

New civilization have arisen and the growth of these are erratic.

Initial discoveries were made, here was lull and suddenly  there is a spurt of activity in all the fields.

    Then Knowledge becomes stagnant.

Look at the developments in Science and all other subjects.

All the discoveries on the theoretical  aspects were done in the late 18th , the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century.

Developments of Computer Internet and other Gadgets like Mobile Telephony etc are only the technological developments  and not theoretical

    science.

I have followed the general tradition of including Balarama and omitting Buddha

    1.Matsya- Ocean.

    2.Koorma-Heaven.

3.Varaha- Some place in the Universe as soon as it was formed.

    4.Ram-Ayodhya.

    5.Krishna- Mathura.

    6.Balarama-Gokula.

    7.Narasimha-Not clear.

    8.Vamana-Heaven.

9.Parasurama-Haihaya Kingdom.Maheshwar is a City in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh state, in central India. It is located 13 km east of National

  • Ramayana Scientific Dating Wrong?

It is one thing to be happy about the fact that the Ramayana and Mahabharata are proved by Dating them through internal references in the Epics, like the Astronomical phenomena and  the structures detailed in the Epics, like the Rama Sethu or Adam’s Bridge:Dwaraka of Lord Krishna, the list is more.

I have posted articles on this subject.

Normally when I post some controversial topic, I, some times, deliberately leave out some information  in the article which I have presented,it, when taken to its logical end, would lead one to more queries on the subject and at times question the original premise.

My readers are very astute and they point the fact out.

My purpose is served because the readers have taken the issue seriously and have referred to the original Epics.

That is my purpose of writing this Blog, especially on Hinduism and Indian Philosophy.

One issue which, for quite some time has escaped scrutiny was the dating of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata.

Some of my popular posts on Ramayana Dates were written about two years ago.

Now one of the readers, Mr.Pradeep Singh caught the point when he sent in a comment.

Suggest changing dates as it conflicts scientific evidence. As you know that Dwarika is about 35000 yrs old per carbon dating and saraswati river carbon dating also do not infer what you are saying dates for Ramayan. I suggest you do more research and change dates. ALSO Look at Purans, bhavisya puran. People read your views so I am concerned that many people will get wrong message.”

Yes Mr,Pradeep Singh, the omission was deliberate and am happy that you caught it.

    Let me explain.

    The four Yuga Details.

SATYA YUGA – (sometimes also called krta-yuga): the golden age lasts 1,728,000 years.

TRETA YUGA – also called the silver age, lasts 1,296,000 years.

DVAPARA YUGA – or the bronze age, lasts 864,000 years.

KALI YUGA – the iron age of hypocrisy and quarrel lasts 432,000 years.

Ramayana took place in Treta Yuga.

“Kali yuga starts on the day of SREE KRISHNA PARAMATHMA’S departure to Vykunda, & Lord’s departure was 5111years back,(from 2009)

SREE RAMAVATHAR was at the 2nd half of Thretha yuga

therefore RAMAYANA was happened before 8,69,111years ago

    Source:

Astrological magazine of B.V. Raman (1971, february edition).”
So the Ramayana date should be around 8, 69,000 back.
    Now on to Ramayana dates.
Rama Sethu. The Adams; Bridge connecting India at Rameswaram and Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka may not be an Island nation after all – a chain of limestone shoals called Ram Setu or Pamban Bridge remains faint evidence to the former land connection between the Mannar islands of northwestern Sri Lanka and Rameswaram in the Indian southwestern coast.

The 3 ft to 30 ft depth of the sea surrounding this 30 miles (48 km) long bridge is not good enough to allow proper navigation. Earlier there used to be a regular ferry service between Talaimannar of Sri Lanka and Rameswaram of India, which is currently withheld due to the continuing civil disorder within Lanka.

The first mention of this reportedly man-made bridge was found in the accounts of Ibn Khordadbeh in his Book of Roads and Kingdoms. Since then, it has been attributed with several names like Set Bandhai, meaning ‘Bridge of the Sea‘, Rama’s Bridge and Adam’s Bridge.

The Islamic legends state that it was used by Adam to traverse the route to Adam’s Peak in Sri Lanka to repent for 1000 years, during which he kept standing on one foot. This perhaps explains the large footprint hollow you can find on the Peak.

On the other hand, the Indian or rather the Hindu legend behind this superbly curved sandstone bridge relates it to the epic Ramayana. Accordingly, it is deemed to be built by the ‘vanara sena’ (monkey army) of the glorious incarnation of Shri Rama, the hero of the epic, to rescue his holy wife Sita from the clutches of Ravana, who ruled over Lanka.

The radiocarbon dating of the bridge verges on around 1,750,000 years, which roughly coincides with the Indian estimate of the mythical ‘Treta Yuga’.

The space footages of the Ram Setu provided by NASA has neither confirmed nor rejected these controversial claims. Contrary to the Vaishnava News Network’s insistence on the Rama legend, after taking its 2002 remote sensing images, NASA simply stated that the much-hyped bridge was only a naturally formed chain of shoals and refused to comment on the possible human involvement in its construction”

    Rama’s Birth Date:
“This planetary configuration was prevailing on the January 5, 5089 BC, and it was on this day that Shri Ram left Ayodhya for 14 years of exile.

Thus, he was 25 years old at that time (5114-5089).

There are several shlokas in Valmiki Ramayana which indicate that Shri Rama.

was 25-years-old when he left Ayodhya for exile. Valmiki Ramayan refers to the solar eclipse at the time of war with Khardushan in later half of 13thyear of Shri Rams’ exile. It is also mentioned it was amavasya day and Mars was in the middle. When this data was entered, the software indicated that there was a solar eclipse on October 7, 5077 BC, (amavasyaday) which could be seen from Panchvati.

The planetary configuration was also the same – Mars was in the middle,

On one side were Venus and Mercury and on the other side were Sun and Saturn.

On the basis of planetary configurations described in various other chapters, the date on which Ravana was killed works out to be December 4, 5076 BC, and Shri Ram completed 14 years of exile on January 2, 5075 BC, and that day was also Navami of Shukla Paksha in Chaitra month. Thus Shri Ram had come back to Ayodhya at the age of 39 (5114-5075).”

    This is the anomaly.

The Yugas, Time calculation of Hindus
The Yugas are circular. They keep recurring and do not move forward

Adam’s Bridge gives the date about ,1750,00 years ago, which is way earlier to 8,69,111years.

The other one based on Lord ram’s birth dates Ramayana by mere 7000 years( 5000 B.C)

Asoka Vatika is also dated thus.

    Why?

The reason is that Time, according to Hinduism , is Non Linear and is Circular.

That is Time goes around in Circles and is not forward moving.

In other words there is no past, no present no future.

    Time is a continuous flow.

Please read my post on  Time Non Linear filed under Astrophysics and my post Ram’s death precedes Krishna’s by 200 Years.

I mentioned in these posts The Ramayana and the Mahabharata are happening now, had happened and will happen all at the same time.

    Difficult to digest.

    Isn’t it?

    Think about it.

    Truth always is.

  • Lord Rama’s Death Precedes Krishna’s By 200 Years!

Interesting observation ,I found, in ancient voice.

    Yugas of Hindus.
    The concept of Time, Yugas

All of us know that the Ramayana took place in Treta Yuga while Lord Krishna lived in the Dwapara Yuga, which was after 8.64,000 years after Treta Yuga .

Yet cross indexing the various Purans and the Astrological data supported by actual Astronomical phenomena like Rama‘s Birth chart,Eclipses during Ramayana and Mahabharata  forces one to the conclusion that Lord Rama’s Death preceded Lord Krishna’s  only by 200 years.

    Time, Hinduism's Concept.
    Time Scale, Hinduism

This, I think, is not a contradiction .

The reason is that for the Hindus the Time is Cyclic , not linear.(read my post on this under Astrophysics)

That Time is Cyclic is being proved to-day by Astrophysics and Quantum Theory.(refer my posts under Astrophysics).

To put it simply events, Ramayana and Mahabharata not excluded happened , happen and will happen all at the same time, albeit at different planes of existence(read my posts under Science, Astrophysics,Hinduism- Multiverses).

Science is veering down to this view now.

And Astronomical events keep recurring at fixed time scales.

Therefore, this seeming contradiction in the Dates of Ramayana and Mahabharata.

Check out at the Link provided.

    1. Interestingly enough, the death of Rama precedes the death of Krishna by 200 years, if we consider that Rama died at the age of 70 and Krishna at the age of 80. Not a normal age of death, if we consider that many ancient men like Bhishma (lived close to 95 to 105 years) and Vyasa (lived around 120 years) were long lived. This 200 years is also the duration of the Dwapara Yuga.
