A drunk Australian is lucky to be alive after trying to ride a 16ft crocodile.
The 36-year-old had just been kicked out of a pub when he decided to seek more entertainment in the crocodile enclosure at Broome zoo.
After failing to arouse the interest of the 1,800lb beast with offers of a bottle of beer, he opted to climb onto the saltwater crocodile’s back.
“He was intoxicated, and silly,” Sgt Roger Haynes told thewest.com.au website.
“Not too many people escape from between the jaws of a five-metre crocodile…they are not renowned for letting people go.
“For an unknown reason, the crocodile has let him go and he’s managed to scale the fence and exit the park.
“He made his way back to the nearby tavern to get help.”
The owner of the local pub said the man returned to the bar “with pieces of his body missing”

Story,
the A policeman in Germany has been awarded seven extra days holiday a year after complaining to a court that changing into his uniform every day constituted work.
PC Martin Schauder, from Munster, said it took him 15 minutes every day to put his work clothes on, and another 15 minutes to take them off.
It was argued in court that those 30 minutes every day equated to an extra 45 hours of his time every year.
The administrative court agreed and ordered the man’s employers to count it as overtime or award him holiday.
