“An audit of the donations received by Team Anna has been shared by The Public Cause Research Foundation (PCRF), which counts among its trustees Arvind Kejriwal, who was once Anna’s closest aide.
However, a thorough analysis of the audit report revealed several discrepancies.
For instance, the office pantry expenses for the period ending on September 30, 2011 were Rs 21,927. However, the pantry expenses in the next six months increased manifolds to Rs 89,070. The audit report also reveals that the
communication expenses which were Rs 2,68,986 at the end of September 2011, doubled in a span of six months. The communication expenses for the period ending March 31, 2012 reached Rs 5,77,474.
The speed with which legal expenses increased, the audit report is bound to raise several questions on the credibility of the Magsaysay award winner. For instance, till September last year, the audit report showed the legal
expenses to be Rs 14,936 but the expenditure on legal activities was calculated to be Rs 2,90,742 by March end this year.
This accounts to 20 times increase in the legal expenses by erstwhile Team Anna in the span of six months. This at a time when the erstwhile Team Anna had prominent lawyers and legal advisors like Shanti Bhushan and Prashant Bhushan.
Further comparison between the two audit reports of PCRF revealed that the printing and stationery cost that was as high as Rs 2,81,318 on September 30, 2011, reduced to Rs 1,53,965 till March end this year. Major difference
in the stationery expenses either hint at some flaws in the audit report or discrepancy in the preparation of balance sheet.
Another serious discrepancy was noticed in the publication expenses. The publication expenses which were Rs 26,55,978 on September 30, declined by almost Rs 10 lakh. The publication expenses were found to be Rs
16,69,656 as on March 31, 2012.
Similarly, the analysis of the two audit reports also showed that the office rent was hiked upto Rs 50,000 in merely six months. The office rent, which was Rs 1,39,850 on September 30 2011, increased to Rs 1,89,077 by March 31 this year.
According to the audit report, the agitation received highest donation of Rs 25 lakh from Sitaram Jindal on behalf of Jindal Steel. Notably, Congress MP Naveen Jindal, is the chairman and MD of Jindal Steel & Power. Kejriwal never hesitated to recieve donation from the company owned by the individual, whose Jindal Power is one of the beneficiaries of the coal allocations http://www.ncrkhabar.com)
Kejriwal has a lot to answer.
* My views on SG,Rajiv,Congress, BJP are known to readers.
To keep tab on all these, who lie professionally , is the income Tax Department.
The information sought can be obtained from any or all these sources and appropriate action can be taken.
For information on immovable assets, you have Registrar’s Office for verification.
The catch is people lie.
They can be caught only if the so-called professionals ,Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries and Income Tax Department officials are morally upright.
CAs and Company Secretaries must desist from aiding the creation of black money and falsification of Accounts.
With out their help, tax evasion or creation of black money is impossible.
Lawyers, like Jethmalani and his ilk must desist from arguing cases for scamsters and criminals, hiding behind the cloak of professional Ethics,Hocking their conscience to Mammon.
How many Civil Society enthusiasts have filed an honest IT returns?
How many Doctors keep records and file their income to IT department?
Only those fools who are salaried have their taxes deducted(the company that deducts their taxes evades tax!)
Unless individuals reform ,system can never be reformed for systems are made by man and are broken by man.
Paper pushing reforms led by a naive Anna Hazare will lead nowhere, excepting generate news columns.
Shanti Bhushan, an eminent lawyer on the band wagon of Anna Hazare , states.
‘”We are preparing a proposal that all institutions which have assets higher than a prescribed limit should disclose details about their ownership patterns, management and source of funding to ensure some kind of transparency in all institutions. There will be no exception, all organisations, business houses, media institutions will be covered under this. This has not yet been discussed with the government but we plan to take it up in subsequent meetings,”..
The information sought by the Civil Society is available. No new moves are necessary.Implementation of what is available will do.Detailed blog follows.

In a chat with Karan Thapar‘s ‘Devil’s Advocate ,Agnivesh was elusive on the culpability of the Bhushans in the land Grab scam of the Bhushans.
He said Bhushans were prepared to surrender the land back and that their expertise was needed to draft the Lokpal Bill and people may chase them after the dead line of June 2011.
Whether smear campaign or not, Bhushans are unable to answer correctly excepting to state that this is a smear campaign and that they will surrender the land.
Nor can they meet the accusation that this allotment was a quid pro quo by Mayawati ,for them not following up the Rs.10,000 Crores scam in Taj Corridor.
Fact is that the land alloted to them was well below market prices.
( Bhushans assets are well over 100 Crores)
* This is not to belittle the service of Bhshans for Democracy in India , but that in this case they seem to be at fault. For further read on Bhushans read my Blog on Anna Hazare.
They did not pursue Taj Corridor issue.
My point is that those who draft bills against Corruption-should they not be people of unimpeachable integrity?
Curiously Anna Hazare has stated that he can not guarantee Bhushans’ past conduct and that he does not know them well.
It is funny that India seems to have only Two lawyers who can draft a Bill.
(Funnier is that the Committee should be called ‘Civil Society‘ as though others in India are Uncivil and Corrupt.)
As I have indicated in my earlier Blog Anna is unimpeachable,so is Santosh Hegde.
Kejriwal, we are yet to know him.
Pronob Mukherjee-We….ll..
Anna’s intentions are very noble and he should get rid of unwanted baggage and get on with the job.
The smear mongers are successful in that they have made the Public Media and the committee talk about Bhushans more than drafting of the Bill.
Swami Agnivesh: This is for a limited period, with a limited mandate to draft a legislation – the work stops on June 30, and then everybody is free to hunt them, to find whatever was wrong with them, punish them if they are guilty, so there is no problem with that.Karan Thapar:You are saying something very interesting – don’t continue with this scrutiny till June 30, when the drafting is over on the June 30, revive the scrutiny, find them guilty and punish them. In other words you are saying – give them a reprieve till the June 30, then continue?
Swami Agnivesh: Well, I am not saying that give them a reprieve as such. I would say start the case if you have any fact, figures or case against them, we have no problem with that, but don’t relate that to drafting committee, that is what I am saying.
We are here to draft a legislation which will ultimately fight corruption tooth and nail in this country, we’ll fight against corruption at every level, even after this bill has been legislated and made into a law – if there is corruption charges against any of the members of civil society, who are on the committee, we will fight against those corruption charges also
First came the CD,alleging Shanti Bhushan was planning to influence a Judge.
Amar Singh ,the ever up-setter of apple cart, who specializes in creating controversies ,drowning them as his whims dictates, jumps into the fray, with his new-found admiration for Congress.
You can expect Lallu Prasad shortly.
You find Anna Hazare declaring that he will accept Parliaments’ decision on the Lokpal recommendation, only to retract hours later.
RSS, which lent its hand to Jayaprakash Narayan during Emergency Days is strangely keeping quiet.Probably it feels embarrassed from the fear of some one raking up Pramod Mahajan‘sFund Collection.( What happened to the issue of Mahajan’s Fund Collection?)
Its offspring calls for Bhshans’s head.
ABVP general secretary Umesh Dutt asked shri Anna Hazare to disown controversial two Bhushans with multiple corruption charges and immediately remove them from the Lokpal Bill draft committee. Its very disillusioned situation to find two main soldiers of Anna in such serious corruption charges.
ABVP feels this agitation against corruption is very important for the whole nation, and will be deciding the fate of the nation. Nation needs people with high character to lead this movement.
A Charlatan and amasser wealth illegally,Ramdev, is announcing his programme against Corruption.
Self styled protector of probity in Public life,Kiran Bedi refuses to be in the Lokpal Committe.
To top it all Anna Hazare is naive with no organisational skills.
Politicians of all hues are ganging up to scuttle the movement.
Member of the committee seem to be not beyond suspicion.
Armchair philosophers run for cover when asked to take part.
I am sure the whole affair will fizzle out as has been planned by the Corrupt.
Only way a movement of this nature can succeed is to have some one among the youth, whose integrity is beyond question to take charge of the Movement, retaining Anna as the mentor.(one should look for some one not connected with Business or politics).
