According to two Obama administration officials, DNA testing has confirmed that it was, in fact, Osama bin Laden that was killed in yesterday’s U.S. strike in Abbottabad.

Osama Bin Laden was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the 17^th child of 52 children sired by one of the richest men in the country.

Osama’s father Muhammad died when he was 11 years old, and he grew up with his mother, stepfather and their three other children.

He studied at the elite Al Thagher Model School in Jedda, where the teachers were members of the Muslim Brotherhood, the Islamist political group begun in Egypt that at the time promoted violent means to achieve Islamic governance.

Bin Laden went on to study civil engineering in Jedda, graduating in 1979. When the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan in December of that year, Bin Laden left to join the Afghan resistance, the mujahideen.

He fought in Afghanistan for six years, rising to the rank of a guerrilla commander by 1986. In 1988, heavily influenced by the writings of Sayyid Qutb and the teachings of Ayman al Zawahiri, he formed Al Qaeda.

Al Qaeda – Arab for ‘the base’ – was a group of ex-mujahideen funnelling money and fighters back to the resistance. Using his family’s fortune, Bin Laden developed Al Qaeda into a militant trans-national network.

He returned to Saudi Arabia but was soon exiled to the Sudan for his opposition against the American-allied monarchy.

Throughout the 1990s he launched a series of attacks on U.S. interests, including the 1998 bombings of two U.S. embassies in Africa in 1998 and the attack on the USS Cole in 2000.

Then came September 11.

After the attacks on America, Bin Laden went into hiding. He has been hunted by the U.S. as the world’s most wanted terrorist ever since.

Pakistan collaboration in Killing Osama-Obama.Osama’s House Map.
President Obama,in his first address on Osama Bin Laden‘s killing informed that no other Nation,including Pakistan was informed.

His latest statement as found below is more credible.

Consider the facts.

The house , Million Dollar one at that was located about 90 kms from Islamabad,Capital of Pakistan.

It was about 100 meters away from Military Academy.

Osama’s whereabouts lead was obtained in September 2010 and CIA operatives have been tracking him down since.

Helicopters used in the Operation took off from a US Navy vessel.

And the site is deep within Pakistan.

None could fly with out the approval of the Pakistan Authorities.

In a statement, Obama said he also spoke to President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday night. “It is important to note that our counterterrorism cooperation with Pakistan helped lead us to Bin Laden and the compound where he was hiding,” Obama said, acknowleding the Pakistani cooperation.

He told Americans on Sunday night ten years after 9/11 terrorist attacks that “justice has been done.” Obama noted that indeed Bin Laden had declared a war against Americans and ordered attacks against the Pakistani people.

“Tonight I called President Zardari and my team has also spoken with their Pakistani counterparts.” Obama said “they agree that it was a good and historic day for both of our nations”.

Although I had left the CIA before 9/11, I can well imagine its internal conversations on bin Laden’s whereabouts. Every time a junior analyst suggested the al-Qaeda was hiding in Pakistan proper — perhaps in a military cantonment area like the one in which he was killed — an old hand would have jumped in telling him that was too far-fetched to even discuss. “It’s not in Pakistan’s interest to hide bin Laden,” the argument would run. “They get too much money from us. The generals who run the country are smarter than that. And anyhow where’s the intelligence?” There were no intercepts of bin Laden calling from Pakistan proper; no defectors showing up putting him there.

Not surprisingly, of course, bin Laden after Tora Bora went off the digital grid. No emails, no cell phones, no Twitter. He apparently didn’t even have TV in the compound he was living in, and even buried his trash. That may have explained the absence of hard intelligence, and the reason that his whereabouts were a blank slate — at least, apparently, until a courier was followed to the compound.

Catching bin Laden in Pakistan was a brilliant intelligence coup. And the Administration played it brilliantly as well, recovering bin Laden’s corpse to prove the man’s dead. But being someone who’s never satisfied, I’d still like an explanation of why I’m wrong to suspect official Pakistani complicity. Or, if I’m right, to explain what’s going on in that country and what, if anything, we intend to do about it.

Salman Bashir,the country’s foreign secretary

told the BBC that US statements suggesting they were not trusted with details of raid was ‘disquietening.’

CIA chief Leon Panetta has said no intelligence was shared with Pakistanfor fear the raid would be jeopardised.

“He is entitled to his views but I know for sure that we have extended every cooperation to the US including the CIA, and to other countries as far as the campaign against terror is concerned, said Mr Bashir.

“All the significant al-Qaeda people who have been picked up, it was done by the ISI (Pakistan’s Intelligence Service), from Pakistan towns and cities.

“Therefore this whole context that seems to have surfaced about the lack of trust is, in my view, sort of misplaced.”

New Suspects of 26/11 attack being probed by FBI, Wiki leaks.
The counter-terrorism division of the FBI has asked its staff to look again at the evidence they gathered on the activities of four Middle-Eastern men who allegedly helped with surveillance of targets.

The men were the subject of a security alert last year when US officials learnt that they planned to return to America.

Secret documents obtained by the Telegraph showed that three Qatari men, who had visited two of the targets of the attacks, had tickets for a flight to Washington on Sept 10, 2001 and were seen with pilots’ uniforms at a hotel in Los Angeles.

A fourth man, from the United Arab Emirates, was suspected of “providing support” to the eventual hijackers by helping with surveillance and entry to the US.
The disclosure of the FBI’s concerns about the men has led to fresh questions in the US about the thoroughness of the original investigation, which failed to pin down any evidence of a support network for the 19 hijackers who crashed four passenger jets with the loss of al

8. (S) THE MEN THEN FLEW TO LOS ANGELES, CA ON 24 AUGUST 2001 ABOARD AMERICAN AIRLINES (AA) FLIGHT #143. THEY CHECKED INTO ONE ROOM IN A HOTEL NEAR THE LOS ANGELES AIRPORT WITH A CHECKOUT DATE OF 10 SEPTEMBER 2001. THEY PAID FOR THE ROOM USING CASH AND, DURING THE LAST FEW DAYS OF THEIR STAY, REQUESTED THAT THEIR ROOM NOT BE CLEANED. HOTEL CLEANING STAFF GREW SUSPICIOUS OF THE MEN BECAUSE THEY NOTICED PILOT TYPE UNIFORMS, SEVERAL LAPTOPS, AND SEVERAL CARDBOARD BOXES ADDRESSED TO SYRIA, JERUSALEM, AFGHANISTAN, AND JORDAN IN THE ROOM ON PREVIOUS CLEANING VISITS. THE MEN HAD A SMASHED CELLULAR PHONE IN THE ROOM AND A CELLULAR PHONE ATTACHED BY WIRE TO A COMPUTER. THE ROOM ALSO CONTAINED PIN FEED COMPUTER PAPER PRINT OUTS WITH HEADERS LISTING PILOT NAMES, AIRLINES, FLIGHT NUMBERS, AND FLIGHT TIMES.

THE SAME PLANE USED FOR AA FLIGHT #144 ON 10 SEPTEMBER 2001 WAS USED FOR AA FLIGHT #77 ON 11 SEPTEMBER 2001. AA FLIGHT #77 WAS HIJACKED ON ROUTE THE NEXT DAY AND CRASHED IN TO THE PENTAGON.

Statue for Hitler in Auschwitz?
Let’s face it.The place where the proposed Mosque or whatever it is being called euphemistically will be of Islam , by Islam and by Muslims.
To call this as an interfaith center or secular is hogwash.
One must remember the sensitivities of people.
People , when they see the proposed structure will be brutally recall the 9/11 attack;;this shall definitely lead to social tensions.
Can somebody tell me whether any Islamic center or even a building of a Muslim being secular?
Where do they allow people of other faith to enter?
Building a monument in the site of 9/11 attack is akin to erecting a statue for Hitler in Auschwitz/Bergen Belson/Treblinka.
I recall Obama saying that if Hindus can build a temple,Christians a church,why not Muslims?
Well , these people did not perpetrate an attack like 9/11 nor do they want to build a monument over there.
The whole project is unwarranted.
