I do not know whether it is a left-handed compliment.
The byline is interesting.
You’ve made 4,000 posts on Tumblr!

Hope there is some quality amongst these numbers!
Apart from the pleasure blogging gives me is the quality of the Readers.
Most of them are highly qualified and are in fact among those who can be counted in their professions.
I try to be objective with good Sources for my articles.
However errors some time creep in and I correct them if brought to my notice.
Truth being bitter, I am criticized from both the sides of an issue.
By Muslims for my posts on Islam and Terrorism Christians for Conversions and Pope and Hindus for writing on Kanchi Shankaracharya and wrong practices in Hinduism.
By the Right as a Communist and the Conservatives as a Capitalist.
By Tamils as Brahmin bigot and others for promoting Tamil.!
I am indeed privileged to have among my subscribers a former Supreme Court Judge who headed a sensitive Commission of Enquiry set up by the Government of India,Top Doctors and Media persons.
I am grateful to all the readers.
Most of the readers’ Comments are informative and suggestive , which enables to write more.
It is one thing to be happy about the fact that the Ramayana and Mahabharata are proved by Dating them through internal references in the Epics, like the Astronomical phenomena and the structures detailed in the Epics, like the Rama Sethu or Adam’s Bridge:Dwaraka of Lord Krishna, the list is more.
I have posted articles on this subject.
Normally when I post some controversial topic, I, some times, deliberately leave out some information in the article which I have presented,it, when taken to its logical end, would lead one to more queries on the subject and at times question the original premise.
My readers are very astute and they point the fact out.
My purpose is served because the readers have taken the issue seriously and have referred to the original Epics.
That is my purpose of writing this Blog, especially on Hinduism and Indian Philosophy.
One issue which, for quite some time has escaped scrutiny was the dating of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata.
Some of my popular posts on Ramayana Dates were written about two years ago.
Now one of the readers, Mr.Pradeep Singh caught the point when he sent in a comment.
Suggest changing dates as it conflicts scientific evidence. As you know that Dwarika is about 35000 yrs old per carbon dating and saraswati river carbon dating also do not infer what you are saying dates for Ramayan. I suggest you do more research and change dates. ALSO Look at Purans, bhavisya puran. People read your views so I am concerned that many people will get wrong message.”
Yes Mr,Pradeep Singh, the omission was deliberate and am happy that you caught it.
Let me explain.
The four Yuga Details.
SATYA YUGA – (sometimes also called krta-yuga): the golden age lasts 1,728,000 years.
TRETA YUGA – also called the silver age, lasts 1,296,000 years.
DVAPARA YUGA – or the bronze age, lasts 864,000 years.
KALI YUGA – the iron age of hypocrisy and quarrel lasts 432,000 years.
Ramayana took place in Treta Yuga.
“Kali yuga starts on the day of SREE KRISHNA PARAMATHMA’S departure to Vykunda, & Lord’s departure was 5111years back,(from 2009)
SREE RAMAVATHAR was at the 2nd half of Thretha yuga
therefore RAMAYANA was happened before 8,69,111years ago
Source:
Astrological magazine of B.V. Raman (1971, february edition).”
So the Ramayana date should be around 8, 69,000 back.
Now on to Ramayana dates.
Rama Sethu. The Adams; Bridge connecting India at Rameswaram and Sri Lanka.
”
Sri Lanka may not be an Island nation after all – a chain of limestone shoals called Ram Setu or Pamban Bridge remains faint evidence to the former land connection between the Mannar islands of northwestern Sri Lanka and Rameswaram in the Indian southwestern coast.
The 3 ft to 30 ft depth of the sea surrounding this 30 miles (48 km) long bridge is not good enough to allow proper navigation. Earlier there used to be a regular ferry service between Talaimannar of Sri Lanka and Rameswaram of India, which is currently withheld due to the continuing civil disorder within Lanka.
The first mention of this reportedly man-made bridge was found in the accounts of Ibn Khordadbeh in his Book of Roads and Kingdoms. Since then, it has been attributed with several names like Set Bandhai, meaning ‘Bridge of the Sea‘, Rama’s Bridge and Adam’s Bridge.
The Islamic legends state that it was used by Adam to traverse the route to Adam’s Peak in Sri Lanka to repent for 1000 years, during which he kept standing on one foot. This perhaps explains the large footprint hollow you can find on the Peak.
On the other hand, the Indian or rather the Hindu legend behind this superbly curved sandstone bridge relates it to the epic Ramayana. Accordingly, it is deemed to be built by the ‘vanara sena’ (monkey army) of the glorious incarnation of Shri Rama, the hero of the epic, to rescue his holy wife Sita from the clutches of Ravana, who ruled over Lanka.
The radiocarbon dating of the bridge verges on around 1,750,000 years, which roughly coincides with the Indian estimate of the mythical ‘Treta Yuga’.
The space footages of the Ram Setu provided by NASA has neither confirmed nor rejected these controversial claims. Contrary to the Vaishnava News Network’s insistence on the Rama legend, after taking its 2002 remote sensing images, NASA simply stated that the much-hyped bridge was only a naturally formed chain of shoals and refused to comment on the possible human involvement in its construction”
Rama’s Birth Date:
“This planetary configuration was prevailing on the January 5, 5089 BC, and it was on this day that Shri Ram left Ayodhya for 14 years of exile.
Thus, he was 25 years old at that time (5114-5089).
There are several shlokas in Valmiki Ramayana which indicate that Shri Rama.
was 25-years-old when he left Ayodhya for exile. Valmiki Ramayan refers to the solar eclipse at the time of war with Khardushan in later half of 13thyear of Shri Rams’ exile. It is also mentioned it was amavasya day and Mars was in the middle. When this data was entered, the software indicated that there was a solar eclipse on October 7, 5077 BC, (amavasyaday) which could be seen from Panchvati.
The planetary configuration was also the same – Mars was in the middle,
On one side were Venus and Mercury and on the other side were Sun and Saturn.
On the basis of planetary configurations described in various other chapters, the date on which Ravana was killed works out to be December 4, 5076 BC, and Shri Ram completed 14 years of exile on January 2, 5075 BC, and that day was also Navami of Shukla Paksha in Chaitra month. Thus Shri Ram had come back to Ayodhya at the age of 39 (5114-5075).”
This is the anomaly.
The Yugas are circular. They keep recurring and do not move forward
Adam’s Bridge gives the date about ,1750,00 years ago, which is way earlier to 8,69,111years.
The other one based on Lord ram’s birth dates Ramayana by mere 7000 years( 5000 B.C)
Asoka Vatika is also dated thus.
Why?
The reason is that Time, according to Hinduism , is Non Linear and is Circular.
That is Time goes around in Circles and is not forward moving.
In other words there is no past, no present no future.
Time is a continuous flow.
Please read my post on Time Non Linear filed under Astrophysics and my post Ram’s death precedes Krishna’s by 200 Years.
I mentioned in these posts The Ramayana and the Mahabharata are happening now, had happened and will happen all at the same time.
Difficult to digest.
Isn’t it?
Think about it.
Truth always is.
Read some of my posts on Multiverse, Quantum and Indian Philosophy filed under Astrophysics and Indian Philosophy respectively.
It is also stated that he married them because of Paraashram’s vow to kill the Kshatriyas as a revenge for his father’s death.
however the was one exception, that he will not kill a Kshatriya, who had Marriage Kangan on his wrist.
This Kangan, yellow band of Thread was used to be worn for one year from the date of marriage.
Convinced that he could not beat Parashurama, Dasaratha married ne woman a Year to escape the wrath of Parashurama.
What does Valimiki Ramayana say on this?
(i) Valmiki Ramayana, Ayodhya Kanda, Chapter 34, Verses 10 to 13:
‘Dasharatha summons Sumantra to fetch all his wives when Rama was ready to to go to forest. Sumantra, after entering the gynaecium, spoke these words to those women as follows: “Oh, the venerable ladies! The king is calling you. Go there without delay. All those women, asked thus by Sumantra as per the king’s orders, went to his palace, after knowing the instructions of their husband.’
Valmiki Ramayana, Ayodhya Kanda, Chapter 34, Verse 10
Dasaratha said to Sumantra,
“Oh, Sumantra! being all my wives, who are here. Surrounded by all of them, I want to see the virtuous Rama.”
(‘who are here’ means available at the capital city then)
Valmiki Ramayana, Ayodhya Kanda, Chapter 34, Verse 13:
अर्ध सप्त शताः ताः तु प्रमदाः ताम्र लोचनाः |
कौसल्याम् परिवार्य अथ शनैः जग्मुर् धृत व्रताः || २-३४-१३
“ardha sapta shataah taah tu pramadaah taamra locanaah |
kausalyaam parivaarya atha shanaih jagmur dhrita vrataah ||” 2-34-13
atha= thereafter; taah= those; ardha sapta shataah= THREE
HUNDRED AND FIFTY pramadaah= women; dhritavrataah= steadfast in their vow (of devotion to their husband); taamra lochanaah= having red eyes; parivaarya= encircling; kausalyaam= Kausaly; jagmuh= went; shanaih= slowly.
‘Encircling Kausalya, three hundred fifty women, steadfast in their vow (of devotion to their husband), with their eyes reddened, went there slowly.’
(ii) Valmiki Ramayana, Book II : Ayodhya Kanda, Chapter (Sarga) 39, Verse 34 & 35:
Rama said to Queen Kausalya, His mother,
“Oh, mother! You do not grieve. You look after my father. The end of exile will come rather soon.”
“Fourteen years will elapse, while you are asleep. you as such, will see me, duly arrived here in my entire being, surrounded by my well-wishers.”
(iii) Valmiki Ramayana, Book II : Ayodhya Kanda, Chapter (Sarga) 39, Verse 36:
एतावद् अभिनीत अर्थम् उक्त्वा स जननीम् वचः |
त्रयः शत शत अर्धा हि ददर्श अवेक्ष्य मातरः || २-३९-३६
etaavad abhiniita artham uktvaa sa jananiim vacah |
trayah shata shata ardhaa hi dadarsha avekshya maatarah || 2-39-36
36. uktvaa = uttering; vachah = words; etaavat = of such quality; abhiniitaartham = end appropriate meaning; aavekshhya = refelected again; dadarsha = (and) gazed at; trayah shata shataardhaah = his three hundred fifty; maatarah cha = mothers also.
Uttering the aforesaid words of such quality and appropriate meaning to his mother, Rama thought once again and gazed at his three hundred and fifty step-mothers.
(iv) Valmiki Ramayana, Book II : Ayodhya Kanda, Chapter (Sarga) 39, Verses 37 to 40:
Rama joined his palms and saluted those step mothers also, who were too distressed in the same way and spoke these words which were in consonance with the spirit of righteousness.
“Please excuse me, if I have done any mistake either becuase of our living together or due to ignorance on my part. I now take leave of you all.”
All those women, whose mind was overpowered with grief, heard the aforesaid cool submission of Rama, which was in consonance with righteousness.
While Rama was speaking thus, an outery, resembling the wail of female cranes arose from those wives of Dasaratha.
2) Kambha Ramayanam:
(i) Ayodhya Kandam, V – Thailamattupatalam, Verse 74:
60,000 wives, Queens Kausalya and Sumitra were very sad. The minister Sumantrar informed the death of King Dasarata to sage Vasishta. Vasishta came there and wept.
60000 ladies along with Queen Kausalya went to Mithila in carts (for Lord Rama’s marriage).
Erich Von Daniken in his Book Chariot of The Gods has advanced a theory that the Aliens have visited the treat and altered our genetic code.
In the course of his theory, he mentions about the Atomic explosion in Mahabharata and speaks of The Pushpaka Vimana of Ravana and calls it a Spaceship.
Evidence coming to light of date and advanced dating methods have proved that the Indian Epics, Ramayana and Mahabharata were not mere stories but facts.
Puranic statements have also been found to be true.
I had posted an article on The Caves and the Chariot of Ravana.
Now there seems to be some evidence that Ravana had a Spaceship and its part , looking like an Axle has been found in Sri Lanka.
”
Indeed, it was even said that he had five landing strips for his flying machines. Keep in mind, this was 10,000+ years ago, centuries before air travel was thought to have been possible. There have been speculations of three areas in Sri Lanka being the possible landing strips for these aircraft–and to look at the area today, there are indentations marked there for centuries that appear to have been purposely created for the purpose of landing an airplane.
Maha-eliya, (the area now referred to as “Horton’s Plains”) Ussangoda in Hambanthota and Wariyapola.still have these marks on their landscape and with the discovery of this ancient coffin the story of Ramayana may have been more than just a myth.
Stargate markings are never found so clear in anywhere in the world. But in Sri Lanka, the Ranmasu uyana contains stone carving which is believed to be a key to a star gate with secret symbols. This has been carved in a stone wall located in the very same place and believed to be keeping all the key secrets to universal travels through star gates. Some of the Indian ideologists and propagandist historians define this great marking as a useless stone tablet but their sole intention is to suppress the true history of great ‘Hela Yakka’ generation lived in ancient Lanka thus keep Sri Lanka under their iron tyranny. The meaning of Ranmasu uyana reveals lot of secrets. The word itself define that it is “priceless land” because it may carries secrets to universal travels through star gate
Patanjali wrote The Yoga Sutra was born in this place.
The Town is referred to in Ramayana and The Mahabharata.
This is where Ravana Dropped his sword.
Lovers’ Leap or Ravana’s Cleft at Swami Rock (Konamalai).. It is 350 feet above the sea level and looks straight down into the ocean below
This temple is in the same Longitude as that of Mount of Kailash;hence called the Dakshina Kailash.
This city is one of the oldest in Asia.
All the ancient tamil Kings visited and improved the temple .
This is Koneswaram Shiva temple, Trincomalee, Sri Lanka.
Koneswaram Shiva Temple
“Heralded as “Dakshina Kailasam”/”Then Kailasam” (Kailash of the South) because it lies on exactly the same longitude as the Tibetan mountain Mount Kailash (the primary abode of Shiva), Trincomalee’s traditional history and legends were compiled into the Sanskrit treatises Dakshina Kailasa Puranam — Sthala Puranam of Koneswaram, written in 1380 by Jeyaveera Cinkaiariyan, and the Dakshina Kailasa Manmiam — three chapters of the Skanda Puranam of unknown antiquity — manuscripts of which have been discovered and dated from the 5th — 7th century.[13][14] It was in the Puranas that the shrine first found reference as Koneiswara Parwatia, motivating Kullakottan Chola who learnt of its sanctity to sail to Trincomalee and develop the three Hindu temples of the Koneswaram compound.[15][16][17] The compiler of the Yoga Sutras, Patañjali‘s place of birth at the temple corroborates Tirumular‘s Tirumandhiram, which describes him as hailing from Then Kailasam and his self description as a “Gonardiya” from Gonarda, “a country in the southern and eastern division” of the Indian continent.[18][19] Both men were ardent disciples of Nandi.[20] The Konesar Kalvettu uses the term Tiri Kayilai, meaning “three Kailasams”, Tiri Kutam and Tiri Konam for Trincomalee, in a number of places, referring to the three pagodas on the promontory of Trincomalee..
Ravana’s Palcae
Trincomalee which is a natural deep-water harbour has attracted seafarers, trader and pilgrims from Europe, Middle East, Africa, China, East Asia and Australasia since ancient times. Trinco, as it is commonly called, has been a seaport and Hindu pilgrimage centre since 400 BCE. The earliest epigraphical inscriptions found in Trincomalee city are in the Tamil language. The Tamil settlement at the port of Trincomalee was one of the oldest settlements on the island.[22] One inscription from 900-1000 CE belonging to the Chola Dynasty excavated near where the promontory’s first temple stood is from a sluice and also concerns Koneswaram, as do the 10th century Nilaveli inscriptions.[23][24][25] The Siva-worshipping Siddhar Patanjali’s birth at the city in 180 BCE and its connections to another Siddhar Agastya from the 5th-4th century BCE suggests that YogaSun Salutation originated on the promontory of Trincomalee.[13][14][26][27]
The earliest known literary reference to the Siva temple of Gokarna bay is found in the Mahabharata, the Hindu epic written between 400—100 BCE, noting that Koneswaram is at Gokarna bay, in the middle of the ocean and is the island shrine of Uma’s consort Shiva, known in the three worlds and worshiped by all peoples from the subcontinent, the rivers, ocean and mountains..
The Trincomalee Harbour, a circular natural harbour which the temple crowns towards the north, is referred to as Ko-Kannam or “Lord’s Cheek”, alluding to the cheek shape of Shiva’s bull Nandi. The Sanskrit equivalent of the port town’s harbour bay is Go-Karna, meaning “Cow’s Ear” or Gokarna Pattana and the deity’s name Gokarneswara or Go—Natha in Sanskrit. Pathmanathan offers the etymological link Thiru-Gokarna-Malai or Thiru-Gona-Malai based on this connection.[9] The ethnographer Megasthenes writing in his Indica from 350 — 290 BCE, describes the island as being divided by a long river, productive of a large number of gold and pearls in one half and that the inhabitants of this country are called Paleogoni, meaning Old Goni in Tamil and Greek, who Pliny adds worshipped Hercules and Dionysus (Bacchus) like the Pandyans of Tamilakam. The Vayu Purana, written in 300 CE specifically mentions the tallest mountain peak of the great gold and silver rich mountain range Malaya on the island, and that “to the east of this island at the shore of the sea lies a great Siva temple in a holy place called Gokarna.”[10] The bay is also referred to as Gokaranna according to a Sanskrit inscription in Grantha script excavated on a door jamb at the Hindu temple dated to Tamil New Years Day 1223 CE.[11]Gokarna is also a place name in Karnartaka, India, Kalinga, Tamil Nadu and Nepal all associated with ancient Shiva temples. The associated Bhadrakali Amman Temple of Trincomalee, significantly expanded by Rajendra Chola I, stands on Konesar Road before the entrance to Swami Rock”
