Pakistan wants a role in Afghanistan!?
Height of comedy is Pakistan demanding a role to bring in peace in Afghanistan for Pakistan does not know how to run the country and their Foreign Minister is on record saying that"we can not guarantee the safety of our citizens'.
What influence can it exert in Afghanistan?
If it is Taliban ,it is inimical to them;Karzai is not even on speaking terms with Pakistan.If they are friendly with Taliban,they would have spared Pakistan.Or ominous inference is that Pakistan is in cahoots with Taliban.
Reason could be that Pakistan might like to fish in troubled Afghanistan and also try to avoid international glare on its terror links.
