Courageous, imaginative, bold and practical move. Technological reasons apart, the political returns on assuming charge of other countries’ defense is minimal.Tell me, which country has not been attacked because it has US defense system or US personnel.Protagonists of interfering in the affairs of a foreign country might argue that it is acting as a deterrent.Logic is flawed. When a country is not threatened.you assume it is because of US protection. What about North Korea vs South Korea and Japan? If a country decides to attack another country or wants to defend itself it will do so with or with out US support. What happened when Nixon sent US Enterprise into Indian ocean in 1971 during Indo-Pak.conflict?India went ahead and Bangladesh was born. What about Vietnam,Korea? US wasted lives and money. To what end?Double guessing game costs.Obama seems to think straight and his move is welcome as it will cool down tempers of jittery neighbors of the countries to which US has stopped offering military installations.Money saved could be used for social causes in US.These types of initiatives shall endear US to the world which sees US as an interfering bully right now.

G-20, Hilarious!
The assemblage reminds one of Medieval Nobility, sans King, where mutual backslapping and bonhomie was in evidence, concealing the dagger .What is for public consumption is not for private practice. The more powerful is trying to off-load their burden on the less powerful(though economically powerful).
Is it not hilarious to find China on the Economic policy making body while it is the culprit in dumping the world with hazardous and under priced products, black mailing countries including US by touting its local market strength?
It is the same China that keeps on committing Human Rights violations.Or take Israel which steadfastly refuses to freeze settlements in West Bank, causing untold miseries to Palestinians and yet it finds a pride of place in this august(?) summit; or take Pakistan which is safe haven for terrorists,Libya known violator of International Law,North Korea, the international Government terrorist; Sri Lanka ,perpetrator of Tamil genocide. All these entities are going to save the world.Obama wanted a world audience, he got it.Period. -
On Obama.
Rightly or wrongly, US is being perceived as arrogant and unilateral in taking decisions. This view has been reinforced by Bush’s conduct of foreign affairs.Obama,as a statesman has risen to the occasion and is trying to convey that US means well and that it is its approach that needs correction. This, he has been able to communicate. Moreover discretion is better part of valour.Yes,Obama is doing the right thing

Obama-Refreshing voice of US.
Obama has, by his demeanor and views, has coveyed ,for the first time after JFK, that US is not arrogant, unilateral and a Big Daddy.US is perceived in most countries as arrogant and bossy. This Obama seems to eradicate this impression.
His practical approach in G 20 meet and the dexterity with which he has handled UK and France was good. His approach to world trouble spots is practical, his reactions to N.Korea has been sober and matured.
In all, Obama conveys the impression of being soft yet firm;firm and consensus building-marks of a statesman. -
Holocaust.Palestine and Jews
Obama is Right.Jews have suffered.Holocaust is a reality. No point in denying it.But,the fact that Jews have been suffering for a long period does not confer them the Right to make another people homeless.By the way, if you go sufficiently long back in history, you may find that all lands belonged to all and no land belonged to any one specifically.Going back in History/Mythology on Promised Land is ridiculous. As per Hindu Scriptures, entire Planet was peopled byHindus.Does it mean they can claim the whole world for themselves?
One question I would like an answer for-why is it ‘N” number of races have been bent on persecuting Jews?At least some of them should have been helpful to them.May be, something wrong some where.<a href="http://“>
