  • Kejriwal Why Take only On Political Lightweights Vadra,Gadkari?

    Laudable and noble is the mission of Arvind Kejriwal in exposing Corruption in High Places.

     

    One thing is glaring.

     

    He has taken on a Big Way!)Robert Vadra and Nitin Gadkari of BJP.

     

    You and me know who is behind Robert Vadra  or whom Robert Vadra is hiding behind-Sonia Gandhi.

     

    Why not take on Sonia Gandhi direct?

     

    Dr.Subramanian Swamy asked the same question.

    “The expose about accumulation of huge wealth by Vadra in a short span of time and other improprieties is fine, but why did Kejriwal not hit out against Congress president Sonia Gandhi who could be the facilitator of misdemeanour of her son in-law,” he asked.

    Why not march to Sonia Gandhi’s house?

     

    ‘Changing plans, Arvind Kejriwal and his disabled supporters will march towards Prime Minister’s residence on Friday instead of laying siege to Congress chief’s house demanding action against Law Minister Salman Khurshid for alleged malpractices in his NGO.

    Kejriwal had on Wednesday announced that he will join the disabled people in gheroing Sonia Gandhi’s residence but on Thursday his aides said there were changes in their plan after discussions with the disabled activists and instead they will march to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh‘s residence.”Tomorrow, disabled people will march towards 7, RCR, the official residence of the Prime Minister. The earlier plans have been changed,” a member of Kejriwal-led India Against Corruption said. Kejriwal had also tweeted about plans to gherao Gandhi’s residence.’ IBN 11 october 2012

    Same , while taking on Gadkari of BJP.

     

    Why not Ranjan Bhattacharya or expose the Fund raising by the Late Pramod Mahajan?

    As to Gadkari, many even in the BJP has any idea ho this gentleman is.

     

    As to the exposes of Arvind Kejriwal on Robert Vadra, my feeling is that Kejriwal is not sure of his facts.

     

    Going to the people through the Press is fine,.

     

    Why not follow it up with a case in the Court?

  • The Beneficiaries of Coalgate Spread Among all?

    The picture of the maze of Coal block allocation is slowly emerging.

     

    The whole transaction is mired in Companies controlled by Companies.

     

    Right now the Jayswals of Nagpur seem to be what SUN  TVGroup was  to 2 G Scam.

     

    There seems to be a refinement over 2 G in that the spoils seem to be evenly distributed , yet the picture is unclear.

     

    There ought to be some fixer, masquerading as Lobbyist like Radia.

     

    Am looking into it.

     

    Story:

    Of the five companies raided on Tuesday, three belong to one family – the Nagpur-based Jayaswals. Split in two businesses, they are among the largest beneficiaries in the coal block allocations, holding 10 blocks with more than 900 million tonnes of coal. What is more striking is that they managed to get such a large allocation with only one project running on the ground.

    Outside Raipur, in the smog-filled industrial area of Siltara, exists a steel plant run by Jayaswal Neco company. Headed by the family patriarch Basant Lal Jayaswal, the company is managed by his son Ramesh Jayaswal. Until a few years ago, Ramesh’s elder Manoj was part of the Neco Group. But following a family feud, he branched out, taking control of companies under the banner of Abhijeet Group.

    Jayaswal NECO group has three coal blocks Chattisgarh: Gare Palma IV/4 Gare Palma IV/8 Jharkhand: Moitra These add up to 447 mn tonnes

    Joint ownership: AMR Three brothers jointly own AMR Iron and Steel, allocated a 31 mn tonne block Bander, Maharashtra Between them, 10 blocks and 917 mn tonnes of coal.

    Information acquired Right to Information activist Mahendra Yadav, has revealed that JAS Infrastructure Capital Pvt Ltd, one of the five companies against whom the Central Bureau of Investigation had registered first information reports, had acquired the coal blocks without signing a revised Memorandum of Understanding.

    The company is setting up the first private sector thermal plant in Bihar’s Banka district.

    The RTI has revealed that as per the MoU, the state-owned Bihar State Electricity Board could purchase power up to a maximum 25 per cent from the proposed power plant under the terms of an agreement.

    “But in case of Public Sector National Thermal Power] Corporation’s proposed power plant, the Bihar government had demanded 50 per cent power,” he said.

    CNN-IBN has accessed the entire list of 58 coal blocks which are under the scanner. A close look at these companies indicates that they have political connections.

     

    • Abhijeet Infrastructure Ltd, which got three blocks in Jharkhand, is owned by a close associate of Congress MP Vijay Darda.

     

     

    • Another company JLD Yavatmal Energy which got a block in Chhattisgarh is also allegedly a front of Vijay Darda.

     

    Another Congress MP Naveen Jindal‘s company has non-producing blocks in Odhisha and Jharkhand.

    SKS Ispat & Power Ltd for which Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay is already under fire had got two blocks as well.

    It is not as if there were just Congress leaders who were beneficiaries of coal block allocation. CNN IBN has in its possession documents which show Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda, allegedly signing 44 MoUs with private players for which an enquiry has been conducted. BJP president Nitin Gadkari‘s key aide and BJP Rajya Sabha MP Ajay Sancheti has been singled out by the CAG for causing a loss of Rs 900 crore to Chhattisgarh government. But there is another side to this story as well, beyond the political slugfest, some companies got coal blocks and sold them at much higher prices.

    CNN-IBN has exclusively accessed a letter written by Sandeep Gupta, Undersecretary of Coal Ministry, to a company in May 2012 which had got a block. Shree Virangana Steels Ltd changed its entire shareholding pattern to M/S topworth Urja and Metals Ltd. The letter read: At present, there is no shareholder from the original allocatee who were alloted the coal blocks. Allotment of coal blocks by the government is for captive purpose and is not for profiteering. Commercial use of coal is not allowed. The sale of shareholding for profit defeats the entire purpose.”

    Sources say that most companies which were declared to be involved in sponge iron business are the ones who were chosing the route of squatting. Get a block and then sell it to the highest bidder later. The real impact of this entire scam will be the difficulty that will now be faced by these front-end companies to sell their stakes.

  • 2G-BJP eyeing DMK.

    BJP, despite its wish to think otherwise, has been very soft on 2 G scam, when compared to its vociferous soundbites on CWG and vote -for-money scam.

    Earlier Advani declared that the DMK is being made a scapegoat in the 2G issue.

    At best he could have said that Congress is more accountable in 2G scam than DMK.

    Now Gadkari says,,with his legal acumen that Kanimozhi should be granted bail because the charge sheet has been framed.

    He does not seem to have read the reasons cited by the Magistrate O.P.Saini that Kanimozhi is being denied bail on the ground that

    -Kanimozhi is not being discriminated against her being a woman(Kanimozhi in her bail application has stated that she is a woman!) as she is an MP and she is influential.

    -She holds political power and as such can tamper with the evidence) which is a correct observation considering the fact that her father Karunanidhi, who never found time to meet up with Sonia Gandhi on the State’s problems or on the issue of Tamils being killed in Sri Lanka,met up with Sonia Gandhi and revealed that he got her assurance in this case;predictably the CBI leaked out the information that it will not oppose Kanimozhi’s bail.

    -She could tamper with the evidence,(One might recall that Sadiq Pasha was murdered -he was reportedly close to SUN group and was expected to spill the beans and the case has been closed as suicide!)

    -Why the CBI wants to apply different yardsticks on bail applications for different people?

    One can not, under the circumstances , as the BJP is expecting a break of ties between Congress and DMK , BJP is not getting the response as it should form Advani’s Rath Yatra,BJP does not have an agenda to fight the elections right now,and that too many squabbles with in the BJP, escape the conclusion that the BJP is cozying up with the DMK to bring into its fold to fight the election.

    But the Corruption ties  of the DMK and the Congress are too intricate and intertwined to allow either the Congress  or the DMK to leave the other.

     

    New Delhi, Nov 12: BJP president Nitin Gadkari has said that DMK leader M Karunanidhi‘s daughter Kanimozhi should now be released on bail.

    Replying to questions on Rajat Sharma‘s Aap Ki Adalat show, Gadkari said now that a chargesheet has been filed in the 2G scam, Kanimozhi surely deserved bail.

    “I am not making a political point. But as far as my legal knowledge goes, once a chargesheet has been filed, the accused should have been granted bail.

    “I can assure you even our party would not allege that the Congress connived to get Kanimozhi bail.”

    The BJP president went on to allege that the Congress was targeting its alliance partners and political opponents by misusing the CBI.

    “Except Suresh Kalmadi, not a single Congress leader has been indicted so far. Don’t you think Chidambaram is responsible for the 2G scam? The Congress is targeting its alliance partners like DMK, NCP and other political opponents.

    “I have seen the Commonwealth Games files. There were signatures of the PM, Cabinet Secretary, Group of Ministers and pre-qualification norms were changed. Is Kalmadi alone responsible?

    “Why was no action taken on V K Shunglu Committee report against Sheila Dikshit? Why was the Lokayukta report against the Delhi minister rejected?”, asked Gadkari.
