Hidden Object near Mercury, An Alien Spaceship?
Being not an apologists for Ufologists I have a couple of questions.

If the image of the ‘Spaceship’ is an artifact left while processing,how come this has not appeared in the earlier images of Mercury?

Has anything similar been recorded in respect of other terrestrial objects?

If the Daily median is not possible what is the state of the object in the next day after the so-called interpolation is done?

Did it appear ?

Will NASA explain?

“While watching a coronal mass ejection traveling from the sun, one of NASA’s solar observatories would appear to have discovered a massive alien spacecraft docked in orbit next to the tiny planet Mercury!

As described by YouTube user siniXster, who used the U.S. Navy’s SECCHI website to gather the images and create a video of the extraordinary extraterrestrial encounter on Dec. 3, it is “definitely some sort of manufactured object.”

“It’s cylindrical on either side, has a shape in the middle … It definitely looks like a ship to me. Very obviously it’s cloaked,” he continued.

“There’s really, absolutely no other explanation for that than some sort of ship.”

Feeling the pressure of the world’s media bearing down on them, the experts at SECCHI who produce imagery from NASA’s twin Solar TErrestrial RElations Observatory, or STEREO, felt compelled to respond with a crystal-clear explanation as to what is going on in this curious video:

In these HI-1 images, a daily median is used as the best near-real-time method to get CME enhancement. This results in dark spots from planets such as Mercury. When we derive the background, we do an interpolation between two daily median images. Since we make these images the day we receive them, we do not have a daily median for the next day, just the previous day. When the interpolation is done between the previous day and the current day and there is a feature like a planet, this introduces dark (negative) artifacts in the background where the planet was on the previous day, which then show up as bright areas in the enhanced image.”

Rare Astronomical Sight for a few Weeks From Now.
Six planets and the waning crescent moon arrayed in the dawn sky on Saturday April 30, as seen from Los Angeles, California.

Beginning today and lasting for a few weeks, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Mars will be visible in the early morning sky, aligned roughly along the ecliptic — or the path the sun travels throughout the day. Uranus and Neptune, much fainter but there all the same, should be visible through binoculars. What gives the end-of-the-worlders shivers is that just such a configuration is supposed to occur on Dec. 21, 2012, and contribute in some unspecified way to the demolition of the planet. But what makes that especially nonsensical — apart from the fact that it’s, you know, nonsense — is that astronomers say no remotely similar alignment will occur next year……..

New Rogue Planet Around the Sun?

That’s just close enough to the truth to be dangerous, something that John Matese, co-author of the Icarus paper, admits — sort of. “What we’re really saying,” he explains, “is that there’s suggestive evidence there might be something out there.” And if a new planet exists — something Matese is emphatically not claiming at this point — then the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) satellite should already have an image of it stored somewhere in its enormous database.

A Mystery Image in Mercury.

AFTER six-and-a-half years and $450m, NASA’s Messenger probe has paid its way.

Sent to become the first craft to orbit Mercury – from Earth, anyway – Messenger’s successful rendezvous briefly reignited interest in the Sun‘s nearest neighbour.

Since March 30, it has sent back thousands of images from the surface, but apart from the novelty factor of the first few, most since have only been of interest to the kinds of people who waited six-and-a-half years for them.

So we’ve seen lots of craters and erosion, but then again, what did we expect from an environment exposed to

Well, yes. Because when it comes to interplanetary exploration, for some people, reason and logic will always take a back seat to unwavering hope.

Particularly since last night, when the “X on Mercury” became the new “Face on Mars“.

The intriguing image above was taken on April 24 and features an “as-yet-unnamed” crater.

With a massive “X marks the spot” through the middle of it.

It’s 116km across, but before anyone gets too excited, there is – not surprisingly – a scientific explanation for it.

The MESSENGER scientists say the lines are “secondary crater lines”.

Follow Messenger’s mission

What that means is outside the field of view are two impact sites. The criss-crossing lines are made up of mounds of “ejecta” thrown up by whatever struck the planet.

So in reality, it’s all just a coincidence, albeit a fascinating one.

A Solar System Family Portrait, From the Inside Out

NASA’s MESSENGER spacecraft has constructed the first portrait of our solar system by combining 34 images taken by the spacecraft’s Wide Angle Camera on Nov. 3 and 16, 2010. The mosaic, pieced together over a period of a few weeks, comprises all of the planets except for Uranus and Neptune, which were too faint to detect. On March 17, 2011, MESSENGER may become the first probe ever to orbit Mercury. Scientists hope orbital observations will provide new answers to how Earth-like planets, like Mercury, are assembled and evolve.
