The Mudgal Committee appointed to probe into allegations of IPL 2013 Match Fixing, has transcripts revealing conversations that indicate PL match was fixed by Indian Captain MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina.
What can come out of this Probe and the Committee Report?
“A report of details revealed during the interrogation of a bookie, known by the name of ‘Kitty’, alias Uttham Jain, was submitted to the Committee by IPS Officer G Sampath Kumar.
The report alleges that more than half of the matches played during IPL 2013 could have been fixed and Indian Cricket team players MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina knew about the wrongdoings.
The report provides incriminating evidence suggesting that the match between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals played on May 12, 2013 was FIXED.
The report quotes phone transcripts between Gurunath Meiyappan and Vindoo Dara Singh. The two can be heard discussing bets on the match between CSK and RR on May 12, 2013…
Meiyappan tells Vindoo that CSK will score around 140 runs. Later, CSK scored 141 runs in the match.
‘During the match, Gurunath placed bets of Rs.1.4 crore against CSK and confidently told Vindoo that Royals will win. In a conversation at 21:09 on May 12, 2013, stating that he has already placed bets of Rs. 20 lakh, Gurunath asks Vindoo to place Rs. 30 lakh more on Rajasthan. He says, “RR is winning pakka”,’ the Mail Today report quoted.
Meiyappan and Aggarwal were approached by a man from RAJASTHAN at Radisson Blu Hotel, Egmor. The report published in Mail Today reveals that Meiyappan informed Kitty that a discussion is going in regarding fixing the match between CSK and RR, scheduled to take place on May 12, 2013.
A second meeting took place on April 27, 2013 and Vikram Aggarwal informed Kitty that a deal was WORKED OUT.
‘Later after dinner party Meiyappan has informed that Chennai Super Kings MS Dhoni has agreed to play as per plan and his team will score 140 runs and this was communicated to somebody ( Sanjay) in Jaipur over phone by Vikram Agarwal when Kitty was nearby,’ the Mail Today report quoted.
In a separate conversation between Aggarwal and Vindoo- ‘Vikram Agarwal told him [ Kitty] that there was negotiation for match- fixing between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings and Meiyappan has to communicate to Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni and few others for finalisation,’ the report submitted with Mudgal Committee was quoted by Mail Today.
it becomes difficult for one how to associate oneself with others.
You become friends with some one after you get to know them.
You know them after you befriend them!
Sreesanth,Sakshi Dhoni, and Sakshi JhalaSakshi Jhala and Sakshi Dhoni. The Photo atop of this Photo image 1 of Sakshi Jhula is reported to be not hers and this is the correct picture from Facebook.
This imbroglio lands people in a jam, for you do not know whom you are associated with.
As in the Sakshi Dhoni, wife of Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni.
News surfaced that one Sakshi Jhala is a close friend of Sakshi Dhoni.
Sakshi Jhala is very close to Sreesanth, the tainted cricketer who is incarcerated in the IPL 6 cricket Spot fixing scandal, along with two other players and a number of Bookies.
Sreesanth gifted this girl a Blackberry at a party hosted by her when he visited her after a match recently.
As of now there seems to be no indication of either Sakshi Dhoni or MS Dhoni being linked to the spot fixing scam.
I think this angle will also be investigated by the Police.
The Police will also look into the aspect of the relationship of MS Dhoni with Gurunath Meiyappan, CSK Boss.
Gurunath has been named as to have been in touch with Vindoo Singh, one of the middlemen for Bookies, who has been arrested.
Gurunath, for those who may not be aware, is the son-in law of Srinivasan, The BBCI President and the CSK Franchisee.
MSD is likely to get his name dragged in the scam.
The truism that one has to be wary of people unless you know them is confirmed.
For no fault of theirs(as of now) Dhoni and his wife are likely to be sucked into this whirlpool of Sports, Drinks, Money and Girls!
Story:
Jaipur girl Sakshi Jhala, a lady friend of Sreesanth, has figured in the IPLspot fixing probe for the simple reason that she is close to tainted cricketer and was gifted a latest model of Blackberry mobile phone by him. The Delhi police, probing the spot fixing case, have seized the mobile phone which the cops feel Sreesanth bought with money earned from bookies.
But is Sreesanth-Jhala saga confined only to Blackberry? According to sources close to Jhala family, Sakshi Jhala is close to Sreesanth for last four years. She was introduced to Sreesanth by Sakshi Dhoni. Both Sakshis have been classmates at an institute in Aurangabad where they pursued a course in hotel management…
Daughter of Atul Jhala, a tour escort in luxury train Palace on Wheels of Rajasthan tourism development corporation, Sakshi Jhala was often seen with Sreesanth in post-match parties in Jaipur. However, she evaded spotlight as she was a lesser known personality that time. She was also seen watching a few matches along with Sakshi Dhoni in the stands of Sawai Man Singh (SMS) stadium in Jaipur without media glare…

Atul has clarified to the Delhi police that they hosted dinner for Sreesanth at their residence in C-scheme area on May 6. It was at this occasion that Sreesanth gifted a Blackberry Z-10 mobile phone to Sakshi Jhala and in return was gifted a poster of national animal – tiger.
What brought Delhi police to the doors of Jhala family is the fact that Sakshi Jhala’s mother runs a girls’ paying guest facility in Sodala area of the city. Now, Sakshi Jhala reportedly assists her mother in operating this facility.
“So far we have not touched that aspect in our probe. We are focused on role of bookies, cricketers and money exchange” said a member of Delhi police team who brought Sreesanth to Jaipur.
“We were not contacted by Delhi police about their visit here as such we are not supposed to probe role of paying guest facility. We will provide all possible help if Delhi police approaches us” said a senior official of Jaipur police commissionerate.
Sreesanth is reported to have disappeared from the SMS stadium as soon as a match ended early this month along with a lady who was sitting alongside Sakshi Dhoni. Now, the media reports are connecting Sreesanth’s disappearance with the dinner hosted at Jhala’s.
For now the Delhi cops seem to have given a clean chit to Jhalas as far as spot fixing is concerned. But the family is disturbed and Atul is calling his seniors offering clarifications.
Eleven bookies and their assistants were also arrested, said the police.
”
“The investigation started after we got information that [the] Mumbai underworld was indulging in match and spot fixing,” said Commissioner Kumar. “Special cell teams were present in all the matches but we cannot say with certainty that more players or teams are not involved in match or spot-fixing. Sreesanth was arrested from Carter Road, Mumbai. One of the bookies, Jiju Janardhanan, is a very close friend of Sreesanth. More arrests will take place.”..
As revealed by the police with telephonic and video evidence from live matches, the modus was that in particular the concerned cricketer was to guarantee that he would bowl a minimum number of runs in a specific over. Through a series of non-verbal cues in the form of on-field movements, such as stretching, moving of jewellery and a wrist watch or the tucking of a towel into the trousers, the cricketers would signal to the bookies that this was the over in which they would follow the agreed plan.
The three matches on which the police focused all involved Rajasthan: against Kings XI Punjab in Mohali on May 9, against Pune Warriors in Jaipur on May and against Mumbai Indians in Mumbai on May 15.
Per the evidence, in the match between Rajasthan and Pune Warriors at Jaipur on May 5, the offspinner Chandila had agreed to give away 14 runs off his bowling in one over but forgot to give the signal to the bookies. In the concerned over, Chandila began with a wide down the leg side and then, with fine leg up in the circle, drifted the second ball way down the Robin Uthappa‘s pads and was swept away. The third ball was on the stumps but short in length and Uthappa cut it away to the point boundary. A dot and a single followed and the last ball was full on Aaron Finch’s pads. Again, with fine leg up, that was easy fodder for the batsman to sweep a boundary.
According to DCP Yadav, there had been a conversation between Chandila and a bookie by the name of Amit. “He [Chandila] was told to bowl the first over with lot of confidence and with the same confidence bowl for us in the next over. The player agreed to it. The bookie asked: ‘What indication would you give?] and Chandila said ‘I will lift my T-shirt before the over starts. After that I will look up and then start bowling.’ Ajit forgot to give this indication,” said Yadav.
As arranged, Chandila had conceded 14 runs. But according to the police, the fact that Chandila had not signaled that this was the over to bet on left the bookies incensed and a heated argument ensued between both parties after the match.
According to the police, in the match between Rajasthan and Punjab, Sreesanth had taken Rs 40 lakhs to give at least 13 runs in one over. In video footage of the match shown on a big screen to the media, the Delhi Police highlighted both of Sreesanth’s overs in that May 9 match in which they identified an alleged pattern of spot-fixing.
“It was decided that Sreesanth would put a towel in his trouser before bowling the second over of his spell and also give enough time to bookies to indulge in heavy betting. As decided, Sreesanth bowled the first over without wearing the towel. In the second over he put the towel in his trousers and in order to give enough time to his bookies he did some warming-up, some stretching exercises and then went on to give 13 runs,” said Commissioner Kumar to the media.
On the day, Sreesanth had bowled his first over without towel and conceded five off it. Ahead of his second over, Sreesanth had placed a towel on the right side of his body and tucked it into his trousers, followed by a brief warm-up that allegedly gave the bookies time to place big bets. In that over, he conceded 13 runs – precisely what he had been pre-arranged, as stated by Commissioner Kumar. He added, however: “We don’t have any evidence that proves Sreesanth convinced Chandila and Chavan to take part in spot-fixing.”
In Chavan’s case, the Delhi Police singled out Rajasthan’s match in Mumbai on May 15 and said the left-arm spinner had allegedly taken Rs 60 lakhs to concede at least 13 runs in his second over. After a tidy first over in which he gave just two singles, Chavan gave 15 in the next. A breakdown of that over reads: six, two, six, dot, one and dot. According to Commissioner Kumar, the advance money for this spot-fix was taken by Chandila who did not play that match; this leads the police to believe that Chandila also acted as a middle man.”

Who else can say that there are two power centers and it does not work!
Sonia Gandhi and Man Mohan Singh,Cartoon.
“Personally, I feel this model hasn’t worked very well. Because, I feel there should not be two power centres and I think whoever is the PM must have the authority to function,” the Congress general secretary said in a TV interview.”
He probably means that Man Mohan Singh has the power and no authority and Sonia Gandhi with Authority without power.
One tends to agree with him excepting the last bit about Sonia with out Power.
With Digvijay Singh around, Congress need not look for an Opposition.
Story:
While Singh clarified that Sonia had never interfered in government functioning during the two UPA stints, his comment marked the first frank assessment of the split leadership of government and party post-2004.
The former Madhya Pradesh chief minister has often been a critic of the government’s policies and his remarks can be seen as a less than flattering assessment of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s stewardship.
The stinging analysis of the UPA experiment came in the context of Singh strongly rebuffing suggestions that Rahul was reluctant to take up the top job and a reiteration of the belief that the Congress president should also be the PM when the party is in power.
Media reports earlier this month quoted Rahul as telling party MPs that he did not want to become the PM and was instead keen on focusing on organizational revival.
While reinforcing apprehensions in some party quarters that he continued to be a reluctant leader despite his elevation at Jaipur, the statement was read by some to mean that he could repeat the experiment put in place by mother and Congress chief Sonia.
