What I fail to understand is that when private institutions fail why there is a hue and cry being raised to bail them out.Businness is a question of profit and loss.Profits come in, you rake it.Loss comes, you become a cry baby.Would the Govt. offer financial support to individuals to meet economic down turn? The whole idea is ridiculous.Communism is much better in that at least the Govt has also been making profits when the Govt. enterprises have been profitable. Here, we are attempting to share only the loss.

Health Care- US.
One thing is sure .US Government is subtle in promoting Big business. In India, it is done quite openly and brazenly. In Tamil Nadu,A state in India, the State Government arbitrarily deducted premium for personal health care from govt.employees for a multinational insurance company.Federal Govt. openly sold Spectrum band licences for about Rs 2000 crores which could have fetched Rs.60,000 crores, other wise.(Rs 50=1$).This is just a tip.Be happy in America, for there seems to be atleast some subtlety.None can save us from the politicians or from big businesses.

Managing Water Resources.
Better irrigation techniques, including drip irrigation system developed by Israel has to be adopted.
Major area of concern is the high rise apartments in urban areas where they use water in enormous quantity( where there was one house previously has, now more than 48 to 50 house holds). They drill even 200 feet in metros to get water, as water table has gone down. This has to be checked.
Granting permission for multinational soft drinks companies has also contributed for water level being depleted. To augment ground water resources, rain water harvesting has to be encouraged, tanks in every village must be destilted and cleaned, delta regions of rivers must be deepened, sand quarrying from riverbeds must be checked.
Check dams need to be built to preserve water from rivers, as the water goes awaste into the sea.
For drinking water in metros where ever feasible ocean water must be made potable by reverse osmosis process. -
Depletion of Water resources by Corporations.
Whether it be Cocoa Cola or Nestle they believe in profits by sucking the blood of consumers and the community, by depleting water resources. In Indian State of Kerala, local went hammer and tongs and have gone against Cocoa Cola for depleting water table by drawing massive quantities of water.Case is pending in court.Unfortunately, politicians ,for a few pieces of silver pledge Natural Resources to multi nationals.Locals have not stopped with case. They have resorted to blocking workers attending work and the pace of drawing later has slowed down.It still is not over.If justice is delayed, no harm in taking direct action. Is this reinforcing the prediction that the next war will be for water?

On Stimulating Economy
The suggestion assumes that corporates were under-hired, which is not true.Secondly to avail the tax benefits- What is to prevent the corporates to fire the existing employees and hire new ones?
Creating consumers in general terms is not the solution. It is not what you spend but what you spend for that fuels economic recovery. If consumers for non essential items are created, situation shall worsen. If you create consumers for infra structure( results will take some time in coming) then you are on a safe wicket.
Merely increasing jobs for the sake of creating consumers shall result in negative growth of the corporate sector.Best way is to explore new areas of investment in goods and services and effect a cut in imports.
