A massive earthquake on 7.8 Richter scale hit Pakistan and caused the formation of a an island.
A massive earthquake struck near the southern coast of Pakistan today, killing upwards of 100 people, injuring dozens more, and leading to the formation of a small rocky island, according to multiple reports
The epicenter of the 7.7-magnitude quake was in the district of Awaran, a remote and mountainous area where at least 45 people were killed, the BBC said. Another 150 died in the nearby Balochistan province, according to Pakistan’sExpress Tribune newspaper. The island, which is reportedly about 30 feet high and nearly 100 feet in diameter, is located in the Arabian Sea nearly a mile off the nation’s shoreline.
MORE THAN 1,000 COULD BE DEADZahid Rafi, a principal seismologist at Pakistan’s National Seismic Monitoring Center, told CNN that the island’s formation was “not surprising,” given how powerful the earthquake was. CNN says the quake’s tremors lasted about two minutes and that aftershocks could be felt in Karachi, hundreds of miles southeast of Awaran. The BBC added that the quake could be felt into Delhi, India‘s capital. Additionally, the British news service said that about 30 percent of the homes in Awaran had fallen during the quake and that many are feared to be trapped beneath the rubble. The United States Geological Survey has issued a “red” alert for the earthquake, which means the agency is predictingmore than 1,000 could be dead and the cost of damages could rise above $1 billion.

During an apparently training mission in the Virginia area 2 FBI agents were killed after falling from a helicopter into the water. 41-year-old Christopher Lorek, and 40-year-old Stephen Shaw both belonged to an experienced hostage rescue team that was involved in the arrest of Boston Marathon suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
In interviews Monday, the founder of the Hostage Rescue Team and other former special agents called the unit “elite” while outlining the difficult training exercises members must endure.
An official statement from the FBI says that special agents Christopher Lorek and Stephen Shaw fell out of a helicopter while training a complex exercise. The agents were supposed to be lowered on a rope on a ship from a helicopter. For yet unknown reasons, the two agents fell out of the helicopter and were killed in the fall.
“Like all who serve on the Hostage Rescue Team, they accept the highest risk each and every day, when training and on operational missions, to keep our nation safe. Our hearts are with their wives, children, and other loved ones who feel their loss most deeply. And they will always be part of the FBI Family,” FBI Director Robert S. Mueller said in a statement, according to CNN.
As the hunt for the Boston Bomber intensified, while one presumed dead( see story at the end, Governor ‘Deval Patrick of Massachusetts said residents of Boston and its neighboring communities should “stay indoors, with their doors locked.”
The manhunt is very intense.

At a press conference, FBI special agent in charge Richard DesLauriers referred to the two men as Suspect 1 and Suspect 2 and said Suspect 2 was spotted dropping a bag before a bomb exploded at the second bomb site. The two men appear to be “associated,” DesLauriers said.
DesLauriers asked the public for their help identifying the suspects, but asked the public not to approach them. Though the men are considered armed and dangerous, the FBI said they still do not believe there is an imminent danger in the area.
A few hours later, a FBI official cited a large volume of calls as a result of the photos and DesLauriers’ appeal for help.

Details about suspects
According to a source briefed on the investigation, the suspects involved in the Boston bombing are originally from the Russian Caucasus and had moved to Kazakhstan at a young age before coming to the United States several years ago.
Another source, from federal law enforcement, also told CNN that the man being sought has been in the United States for at least a couple of years.
The man identified as Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the older brother, had studied at Bunker Hill Community College and wanted to become a engineer, the source said. He then took a year off to train as a boxer.
The source told CNN’s Deborah Feyerick that a posting on a social media site in his name included the comments: “I don’t have a single American friend. I don’t understand them.”
The source added that it should not be assumed that either brother was radicalized because of their Chechen origins.”
A source close to the investigation told ABC News authorities have “good confidence” that the men in the photos perpetrated the crime. The degree of confidence, the source said, comes from a “revealing” reaction Suspect 2 had to the detonation of the first bomb, which was captured on surveillance video.”
Another Bomber is reported to be dead in a fight between th Police Officers and the suspects.
The Lede is following developments in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings. The Boston region is in the midst of a security emergency as a massive manhunt is underway for one of the suspects in Monday’s bombings that killed three and injured more than 170 people. A second suspect was killed early Friday morning after leading the police on a wild chase following the fatal shooting of a campus police officer.
Police were staging a major operation on Arsenal Street in Watertown, where residents have been ordered to shelter in place and not answer their doors since early this morning, after a gun battle in Cambridge with suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing.
In addition to the police and SWAT teams, heavily armored vehicles are assembling on Arsenal Street.

1. Domestic Violence: During argument with spouse, Employee broke spouses e-reader in half
and pointed unloaded gun at dog’s head while dog was sitting in spouse’s lap. In mitigation,
Eniployee had been struggling with spouses mental health issues and fol!owing this incident, entered
marriage counseling. In aggravation, Employee introduced a firearm into a domestic dispute, an
extraordinarily serious escalation.
PENALTY: 45-Day Suspension
OFFENSE: Assault/Battery, Offense Code 4.1
2. DUI: Erriployee was stopped by police for driving private ly-owned vehicle while under the
influence of alcohol. lt was Employee’s second DUI whUe employed by the FBI. A second DUI while
employed at the FBI resuits in dismissal.
PENALTY: Dismissal
OFFENSE: DUI in Privately-Owned Vehicle, Offense Code 4.4
3. lmproper Financial Relationship with a Source: Employee purchased a used car from a
Confidential Human Source (CHS). Employee had previously served as the CHSs handler. In
mitigation, Employee did not seek a discount, paid fair market value for the car, and is a valued
employee with an excellent record.
PENALTY: 3-Day Suspension
OFFENSE: Improper Financial Relationship with a Source, Offense Code 1.2
4. lmproper Handling of Evidence: Employee failed to properly secure and accurately account for
evidence seized during a search warrant. Empioyee was in charge of irventorying the evidence.
Employee failed to recount the currency to verify its correct amount prior to placing it in evidence
vault, resulting in a subsequent discrepancy. Employee also failed to properly secure drug evidence
in the safe, instead co-mingling it with non-valuable evidence. In mitigation, Employee was
responsible for multiple duties on the day ofthe search and was overburdened. In addition,
Employee is a nine-year employee with no previous disciplinary matters.
PENALTY: 3-Day Suspension
OFFENSE: Investigative Deficiency, Offense Code 1.6
5. lmproper Handling of Evidence; Lack of Candor Not Llnder Oath: Employee failed to follow
Bureau procedures for the destruction of drug evidence. Employee did not weigh each item prior to
destruction, despite specific instruetions to do so from the Evidence Control Technician and
Employee’s supervisor. Also, Employee improperly stated all drug eviderice had been properly
weighed. In mitigation, Employee was attempting to adhere to a tight timeframe; Employee verified
there was no tampering with any packages prior to their destruction; Employee’s coriduct did not
negatively impact pending investigations; and Employee self-reported his misstatements. In
aggravation, Employee’s actions in failing to follow the proper procedure served as a poor example to
more Junior employees and Employee was under administrative inquiry at the time for unrelated
conduct.
PENALTY: 8-Day Suspension

being aware when she married hirn that he was a habitual drug user’ who sold drugs to rnake

An FBI special agent accused of driving on the State Thruway in Eden without wearing pants will see his charges dismissed if he steers clear of additional trouble for the next six months.
Yervelli was charged with misdemeanor public lewdness last month by State Police. A truck driver told troopers Yervelli was driving a passenger vehicle about 9 p.m. Dec. 7 when the off-duty FBI agent “pulled up next to his truck, turned on the dome light and displayed that he was not wearing pants, while making lewd gestures,” according to State Police.
An Erie County prosecutor Wednesday confirmed this week’s court ruling, and said Yervelli is required to complete a psychological counseling program as part of the decision.

If a “boarding school” in Montana says they are religious, there is no regulation on them whatsoever. They can do whatever they want to children, including physical abuse, and there is nothing the state can do. I use the term boarding school loosely, this applies to anyone who wants to set up a cabin in the middle of the woods and take in children for profit. All they have to do is say they are religious and the authorities can’t touch them.
No matter where you live, this effects you. Kids are sent to Montana facilities from all over the US by courts, schools, therapists and their families. Kids from Russia, China, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Haiti, Ethiopia and other countries are sent to Ranch for Kids, Russia is outraged that 400 adopted Russian children were sent there.
HB 236 was introduced last month that would finally provide protection for kids in ‘religious’ facilities, but it was killed by the Republicans in a party line vote. The sponsors have found a way to revive it, and tomorrow, Wednesday March 13, Rep. Ellie Hill and Rep. Jenny Eck will be blasting the bill on the House floor. They need 60 votes to allow the bill to come out of committee and be heard on the floor.
We need as many people as possible to contact the Montana House of Representatives and ask them to stop the abuse of children and SUPPORT HB 236

I started /r/troubledteens to save kids from abuse in ‘troubled teen’ facilities. Montana is well known among advocates for facilities that abuse children due to their lax religious laws. Closing this loophole would be a huge step forward for children everywhere.”
Some parents, school administrators, and church leaders across the country believe it’s necessary to physically discipline children in their care. CNN’s Gary Tuchman spoke with those who do it because, they say, they’re acting in the name of God.
The AC360° investigation began when parents of 7-year-old Lydia Shatz pleaded guilty, and were sent to prison, after their young adopted daughter was beaten to death. They claim they were following teachings in a book by Michael Pearl. Pearl co-authored “To Train Up a Child” with his wife as a guide for parents on raising their children in accordance with the Bible.
Tuchman spoke with the Pearls who explain their method of spanking, and say they’re not to blame for Lydia’s untimely death. To demonstrate the technique and force that’s used, Mr. Pearl hits Tuchman during the interview.
Also in the program, former students of a religious boarding school in Montana accuse the pastor and school leaders of abuse, including choking. The owner of Pinehaven Christian Children’s Ranch, Bob Larsson, says his mission is to impart a love for God to the students. The state government has no oversight of religious institutions, which you’ll learn more about in tonight’s report.
And an unlikely sight in Oakland, California has made headlines in recent years: Children begging strangers for money. The students attend St. Andrew Missionary Baptist Church School, and they ask for donations because the Reverend in charge of the school wants them to raise funds. The questionable practice is only part of the story; one mother is alleging abuse.
