Now I wonder about the Bengalis and Tamils. I have noticed some similarities. Both are, in general,dark skinned, dusky. Both consume Rice. Rice is consumed in South India, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka in large quantities when compared to other states of India, especially North India. As a matter of fact, These Southern states along with Odisha and Bengal consume more of Rice. These states form an arc on the eastern seaboard of India.
