The situation in Kiev is turning worse despite President’s ‘Truce’

Harrowing footage has emerged which shows a group of anti-government protesters being picked off by special force snipers while progressing through Kiev’s Independence Square.
As medics try to attend to the victims, the snipers continue to fire shots at the group.
The footage comes just hours after Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovych declared that he had reached a “truce” with the opposition.”

Sniper’s Take Aim
Fierce clashes continued on the bloodiest day of the unrest with BBC reporting at least 22 dead so far. Twenty six were killed yesterday.
The Ukrainian opposition and at least 10 pro-government MPs have called for an emergency parliamentary meeting as a conclusion to the unrest is sought.
Carl Bildt, the Swedish Foreign Minister, tweeted that there is “no doubt live ammunition used” by government forces in Kiev clashes in what is a “truly alarming development”.
This morning I realized that the number of scams are so many and the details are extensive as to warrant a centralised information for reference and follow-up.
So I am summing up these and posting information from sources other than my blog posts.
The Communist Countries have their own Industries.
Now most of the countries have ceased to be Communists.
Leading the pack is China and Russia.
It is followed by Czechoslovakia(recall SEMTEX), Bulgaria , Yugoslavia.
Apart from this you have Iran ,Iraq, Australia etc.
Then you also have other Nations like Australia,India,Pakistan,Indonesia.
While in the days of Communism, the Arms were sold only for profits by the West, the Communists sold them for Influence over the Country to which they were selling.
If it is a Government to Government transaction there is no problem at all.
The Importing Country places on an order on the Exporting Country/a Manufacturer in that Country.
The order is scrutinized by the Defense and Foreign Department of the Exporting Country and if found in order , then the order is through.
But nothing is perfect in the world.
We have Separatists like Batista, LTTE (till recently) and a host of local out fits who wage wars against States.
The Exporters are lured by the money and they sell.
And though there are no communist Regimes now, save China, USSR, North Korea and a few others.
They sell still for ideology.
Then we do have individuals, Loosely linked terrorists and Terrorist out fits.
The want to buy.
The Arms manufacturing countries lured by the money and taking into account their Geo political calculations sell Arms to these people.
They can not sell these direct .
To fill in the void came Arms Dealers.
1.Licensed Arms dealers.
They have a License from the Government and once the order is cleared by the Government they complete the sale.
Companies also appoint Arms Dealers.
2.Arms Dealers.
They do not stock nor do they have a Licence.
They liaise with the importer, Exporter /Company and see the deal through and get a cut from both sides at times.
3.Black Market Dealers.
These people have no Licence, nor hold stocks.
The buyer wants to be anonymous and the Seller looks elsewhere.
But if the supplier is feisty these dealers oblige for a higher cut.
Different Cases of Operational Confluence
Between Producers and Traffickers
As mentioned above, it is worth pointing out some cases in which, it can
be presumed, that arms manufacturers and traffickers are operating jointly, or
the manufacturers are acting directly as traffickers, supplying different
equipment to countries in conflict or to illegal groups.
1. The NORINCO Case
On 18 March 1996, at a local harbour, customs service agents from the
Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms office of the San Francisco District Attorney’s
Office, seized a delivery of about 2,000 AK-47 type weapons, sent from China,
presumably destined for mafia groups in Los Angeles.
Under those circumstances, eight United States and several Chinese
citizens were arrested. Two Chinese citizens were probably representatives
from two of China’s State arms manufacturing companies: “North Industries
Corp.” (NORINCO) and “Polytechnology”, which belong to the Popular Army.
Those companies which are the largest Chinese arms exporters, had been
under surveillance by American investigators, because in the past, they had
been involved in the illegal introduction of their products to the local market.
It should be remembered that China had been the most important foreign
supplier of rifles and handguns to the United States until May 1994, when the96 Curbing Illicit Trafficking in Small Arms and Sensitive Technologies
Clinton Administration issued a decree banning Chinese weapons imports.
Between 1991 and 1993, “NORINCO”, “Polytechnology” and “Jinganco”,
which belongs to the State Police, sold about two million handguns on the
United States market.
“Poly Group”, which is a direct branch of the Chinese Army’s
Department of General Affairs, recorded a spectacular trade boom during the
1980s, under the rule of He Ping (Deng Xiao Ping’s son-in-law) and Wang Jun
(son of the former Vice-President Wang Zhen).
2. Eastern European Producers
After the collapse of communism, the Eastern countries’ armaments industry has been trying to overcome the crisis caused by the loss of traditional
markets
I recently posted that the voice against Israel’s Policies is not Anti Semitic.
Then I did some research.
I came across a Link through Der Spiegel The German News Paper on a List prepared By Simon Wiesenthal who is responsible for the hunting down of Nazis accused of War Crimes during Hitler’s Regime.
I was shocked to find that the Anti Semitic Groups are quite active and they continue to spew venom.
I am also surprised at the number of Islamic terrorist Groups which target Jews.
Historically Islam treated the Jews better comparatively than the other Groups of the World(Ref.O!Jerusalem,The Rise and fall of the Third Reich)
Such activities are to be dissuaded, if not nipped in the bud by the respective Governments as this virus if transnational.

Matthaiopoulos, elected MP for the town of Serres, was the front man
of the Nazi punk band Pogrom. One of the band’s songs, “Auschwitz”

Frank”, “f*** the whole tribe of Abraham”, “Juden raus” and
“The Star of David makes me vomit.” Matthaiopoulos is the second

Sleeping Beauty being Kissed
Unlike the fairytale, the kiss that awoke this “Sleeping Beauty” came from a woman.
The “living” installation is the work of Ukrainian-Canadian artist Taras Polataiko.
He chose five women to take turns to ‘sleep’ on a bed in Ukraine’s National Art Museum.
Visitors could kiss the women, hoping to rouse them.
Yana Gurzhiy, the model who was stirred, says the decision to open her eyes was a spontaneous one
. SOUNDBITE: ‘Sleeping Beauty’ Yana Gurzhiy, saying (Ukrainian): “It was a very quick moment, and I didn’t think about it for a long time.
It happened in a second and I opened my eyes.
When I saw a girl in front of me, I was naturally surprised, but I would also have been surprised if it had been a strange man.”
There was a catch: visitors had to sign a contract agreeing to marry “Sleeping Beauty” if their kiss woke her.
Polataiko says he doesn’t expect the ladies to wed, but he hopes it will start a conversation in the Ukraine where same-sex marriage is outlawed.

In terms of what the girls will decide to do, it’s up to them.” Gurzhiy and Katya have no plans to elope.
A Ukrainian-Canadian artist is presenting an interactive art project called “Sleeping Beauty,” in which five attractive young women take turns sleeping under dim lights in Kiev’s top gallery, each under a pledge to marry the visitor who wakes her with a kiss.
Any unmarried museum-goer can kiss the woman in the hope of making Beauty fall in love and awaken.
Taras Polataiko, a Ukrainian-born artist now based in Canada, says the goal of his exhibit is to recreate the famous fairy tale and witness the birth of love.
But it also has political undertones, symbolizing the patience of the Ukrainian people trapped by what he calls the oppressive government of President Viktor Yanukovych, and hopes that the nation will one day awaken to true freedom.
“I am turning the fairy tale into reality, the Prince fell in love with her deeply, strongly and this love woke her up,” Polataiko told The Associated Press. “Strong love happens by chance.”
The nearly three-week exhibit ends Sunday, and so far only one Sleeping Beauty has woken up to a kiss — only to discover that her Prince Charming was actually a princess. It is unclear what the two women will do now, given that Ukraine forbids same-sex marriage and that Princess Charming has a boyfriend of her own.’
